Neko's World
Neko!
Welcome to my web site

My name is Neko.
I live in Georgia. This web page was created so I could share my thoughts and ideas with you. I will also share some amusing pictures from my photo album. So, why don't we get started?

This is to let everyone know that Neko died today. It was very sudden and very unexpected. A blood clot blocked the blood flow to her hind quarters and the vet said it was causing her alot of pain and even if they could breakup the clot, she probably would not make it or if she did live, she would be paralyzed and she could have another clot form. He kept telling me different things that they could do for her to try to extend her life; but, when I asked him what he would do if she were his cat, he said he would put her to sleep. So, that is what I did. Afterwards, I brought her home and wrapped her in her satin blankets that her grandma made her and put her favorite toy with her. Her dad came home from work and we buried her in the backyard. We miss her so much. Take time to read a few of her stories that are in the archive section and look at a few of her pictures in her album. She was such a camera hog. She loved to have her picture taken.

I have added a new button at the bottom of this page. Just click it and it will take you to a site called Petfinder.com. They have listings where you can find a great pet to love. I found Neko at the Humane Society when we lived in Tennessee. It was love at first sight for both of us. Remember to hug your pet today.

This is Neko's mom with a bit of good news to tell you. We have adopted a new member to our family. His name is Sherlock. He is a short-haired kitten with unusual markings. Some are stripes, some are circles, and he also has a few patches of color. We were so sad when Neko died. We thought we could never love another cat as much as we loved her. A couple months after her death; however, we realized that we had so much love to give and although no cat could ever replace her, we wanted another cat to love. So, I searched the pounds and animal shelters until I found Sherlock. I have created a web page for him similar to this one. I have added a button at the bottom of this page that will take you there. I have also added a button to Sherlock's page that will bring visitors here to read about his "big sister". I wish they could have met each other. On second thought, it's probably a good thing that they didn't. Neko probably would have swallowed poor Sherlock. I know she is watching him from "Kitty Heaven" and urging him to get into all sorts of mischief. Well, at least he is learning from "The Master of Mischief".
