There is a number of forms of throwing. Below is a list of a few different throws.


1) South African
2) The Shuffle
3) The Glide
These are the three main forms which throwers use.

How to do the throws-

The Glide- Stand facing the back of the circle with your main foot bent directly in front of you. Have your other leg strecthed out behind you. Lift off on your main foot, jumping about 3 times still facing backwords. Turn fast putting the shot into the air.

The Shuffle- Stand facing the right. Place your feet pararell to each other about two feet apart. Have your knees bent low. Have your hand with the shot down close to your knee. Shuffle to the front of the circle. Lift up your arm with the shot and realease, putting the shot into the air.

South African-Stand at the back end of the circle facing your back to the front. Bend your knees low. Keep the shot close to your neck. Swing your right foot so now you are facing the front of the circle. Bring your left foot around (you do a total turn). Right after that realease the shot quickly putting lots of strangth in the put.
