A listing of some significant people in the kingdom of Darinmatt.
King Darinmatt I
   The lord of the land. In the recent Orc Wars, then Duke Darinmatt was a hero in battle. It was his force (along with the heroes Fieros and Triffinius) that finally broke the Orc army and forced it north of the mountains, into Larbastan. In the course of the war, the three Archdukes of the land were killed, and no worthy or obvious heirs were available. Many of the common people and surviving nobility supported Darinmatt as ruler. Thus, for the first time in history, a king rules over the peninsula.
   Darinmatt gained his noble title through his efforts as a war leader. Before the Orc Wars, he was most known for clearing a large area of a strong Ogre population. To this day, Ogres are a rare sight in the old Duchy of Darinmatt (though they are still fairly common elsewhere on the peninsula).
   Darinmatt's Coat of Arms is three white spears on an azure background. Now that he is king, he has added a gold crown over the spears.
