TENDER PRAYERS
MY PRAYERS
As my head touches the pillow
My mind is on you
Wondering where you are
Wondering what you're up to...
As I say my prayers
And speak to God above
I ask for him to lead you to me
To be my one and own true love...
I tell God how I feel
About you being on my mind
From the time I awaken in the morning
To the time I go to bed at night...
I tell him you're in my dreams
While I sleep the night away
I tell God you're on my mind
Every moment of the night and day...
I know my feelings for you
Run deep within my heart
I know I'm not happy
Whenever we are apart...
One night as I lay down
And I say my goodnight prayers
I'm going to be able to say "thank you, Lord"
For having you right here...
As you hold me in your arms
Enveloped, within your love
I'm going to be silently thanking my Lord
For giving me my one and only love...
