Calcium/Phosphorus Compatibility Confirmation.

1- Does TPN have fat in the order?
If no, plot on appropriate graph to check Ca/Phos compatibility.
If yes, continue the next question.

2-Are Dextrose=<250gm/L and AA=<60gm/L?
If no, call MD to reformulate TPN.
If yes, continue the next question.

3-Is Ca=<15mEq/L? Is Phos=<15mM/L? Is Mg=<15mEq/L?
If no, call MD to reformulate TPN.
If yes, plot on appropriate graph to check Ca/Phos compatibility.

4-For Peripheral TPN, not need to graph if no more than Phos 12mM/L and Ca Gluconate 5mEq/L?
If no, call MD to reformulate TPN.
If yes, ok to compound this TPN.
