Recommended Dosing for Methylprednisolone (Solu-Medrol)
for a
kg patient:
Bolus Dose: 30mg/kg (round to the nearest 250mg)
Mix
mg in 50ml D5W or NS and administer IV over 15 minutes.
Infusion: 5.4mg/kg/hr for 23 hours (round to
the nearest 250mg)
Mix
mg in TOTAL FINAL volume of 230ml D5W or NS.
Infuse intravenously at 10ml/hr for 23 hours.
