" Destiny is not a matter of chance, it is a matter of choice; it is not a thing to be waited for, it is a thing to be achieved."
--William Jennings Bryan-U.S. Congressman

TLC Preschool 2009-2010
TLC Preschool is ready to begin another year. We are excited to see both new and returning families to the preschool. Orientation will be September 3rd at 6:30 pm and classes start on September 8th. As our school year begins we ask that all who shop at Acme stores start saving your receipts as the preschool can turn them in for cash and/or needed items. Remember that, the receipts must be whole with the bottom portion attached to show the community cash back awarded. Thank you. Our new teacher Angie Hailey will be teaching our three year olds as well as assisting with our four year olds and Pre-K class. She has many years experience teaching preschool as well as teaching Sunday school. At this time we have 11 students in our Pre-K class and 5 in our 3 year old class. So please tell all your neighbors and friends that we have room for 3 more 4 or 5 year olds and several 3 year olds. We will continue to enroll children through out the school year until the classes are full. Anyone interested in donating to the preschool here are a few suggestions. Glue sticks, napkins, small plates, spoons, craft glue, etc. Any items from the dollar tree’s school isle will do fine.

Autumn Is Here
Now is the time to plan ahead for our Holiday baskets. We were so blessed to be able to fill several baskets for all the holidays last year and we hope to continue this year again.
Our Rummage Sale was a great success and we will be using the proceeds from the sale to purchase turkeys and hams for our giving baskets this season.
Anyone who was not able to participate in the Rummage sale may donate to the baskets by turning in donations to the church in envelopes marked for food baskets or by seeing any of the council members. Also all of the donated can goods brought into the church go to feed the hungry as well.
Please call the office and leave a message on the machine with the name of a family in need. All of us know of a neighbor or friend or family member who has fallen on hard times and we would like to help as many as we possibly can so please let us know of people you would like us to help.
