TISOA REFEREE STANDARD OF PROFESSIONALISM

POLICY, PROCEDURE, & INFORMATION

PRE-MATCH COMMUNICATION:

A contact list containing the TISOA membership will be sent to you with your lst set of scheduled assignments
Referee to contact assistant referees about meeting place and time, as well as the game arrival dress code, at least 48 hours (preferably 4 days) prior to the scheduled match.
If assistant referees have not been contacted by 48 hours prior to the scheduled match, then they are to contact the referee. If messages are left on voice mail or answering machines then the person receiving the message is to reconfirm the information by contacting the referee(s) who left the message. If no confirmation is received by 24 hours prior to the match, then the official is to contact Paul James directly using the TISOA telephone number (336-659-4677).

DRESS CODE (arrival & departure):

Referee preference All referees are to arrive dressed alike.
Khaki or gray slacks with green TISOA polo shirt or more formal dress that includes a coat or dress shin, tie, and coat.
NOTE: This includes coordinated socks and shoes.

ARRIVAL AT THE GAME SITE:

Arrival Time: At least 60 minutes prior to match.
No other soccer match is to be refereed prior to the assigned college match on the day of the match.

NOTE REGARDING WEATHER CONDITIONS: College soccer matches are to be started and played at the scheduled time unless severe weather conditions exist which may jeopardize the safety of the players, (i.e. lightning). You will be contacted if the are changes to or cancellation of assigned matches.

MATCH REPORTS

bluebullet.gif (1317 bytes)If payments are not recieved within a month of sending in a matchreport, the referee is to contact only André Sies . No direct contact with the schools or the assignor is permitted.

OTHER REPORTS:

NCAA Fight Reporting Forms are to be faxed to our Regional Representative, Mr. Willis King (1-864-244-7049) within 12 hours of the incident with the following information: date of game, name of referee, home team visiting team, name & team of ejected player (1 player per form), and name of ejected player's coach. Also, refer to the letter to the chapter contacts regarding other means of contacting Mr. King.
Supplemental Referee Reports for Ejections must be mailed or emailed to Layton Shoemaker within 24 hours of the incident.  Address:
