Even if the fish aren't biting, it's sights like these that make the 8 hour drive to the OBX worthwhile. These pictures of the sun rise were taken by my wife at milepost 2 in Kitty Hawk (July 2002)
Very rough surf conditions like these made surf fishing almost impossible. We used 4 oz. pyramid sinkers but the waves would wash them back in at us.
