Here it is my new project.
It is a 1954 R-100 International Harvester pickup.

The plan is to restore this truck to original.

It had a collision with a telephone pole so the bumper is bent. The paint is oxidized but I found the true color on the hood.

There is very little rust and the engine runs great.

Dont ask me how this dent got in the side. It happened somehow in the accident.

Here is the truck with my new bucket seat.

sandblasting the frame.

here it is painted.

I had to sand blast off what I had painted before because the frame rusted under the paint

This time i used a better paint it won't rust or chip

Here is another shot of the large dent

The time had come to fix the large dent. Here it is cut out

I finally found a suitable donor cab corner. I cut it out of my red truck which had the left side rusted out. It is a good fit.

Now comes the welding.

Door post - done
The inner panel didn’t line up perfect. I am still working on that

My goal was to not use any body filler for this weld. I think I have achieved that.

Here is a patch for the hole that was in the floor of the cab. There are still some small pits around it. I think the heater leaked at one time and rusted it out under the mat. It is a shame because the underside of the cab has no rust and the original paint.

more pics to come.
