Thesis: A Qualitative Evaluation of Design Rules relating to PCB Design for EMC

  3. p19-36 PCB Layout and Radiated Emission, a chapter dealing with the way a certain method of layout (for some classes of PCB) that concludes with a novel analytical method of solution to determine the reduction in radiated emission from the presence of a Ground Plane inside a PCB e.g. as in that of a multilayer design.   4. p34-35 2.3.1 Field Reduction through the use of a Ground Plane, a subsection from the above mention Chapter 2 dealing with the analytical method to determine the reduction of radiated emission through the use of a Ground Plane. (62 kB)
  5. p37-61 Chapter 3 on Decoupling Capacitors. Introduces a novel layout to optimise the layout of a double sided PCB to maximize the effectiveness of decoupling capacitors with DIL packages. (900+ kB)
