FADE IN ON:

SPACE

Three X-Wings maneuver through a rather large asteroid field.

INT. X-WING COCKPIT, GREEN-LEADER

TIM: Base, this is Green-Leader, are you reading?
               Over.

BASE: Go ahead Green-Leader. Over.

TIM: Preliminary scout check over. There is no sign of
Imperial activity in our area. We are about to
               head back. Over.

BASE: Roger. We'll be waiting for you. Over and out.

TIM: Green-One, Two, we'll make the jump as soon as we
get out of this asteroid field. Commence with
               your jump coordinates now.

GREEN-ONE/TWO: Roger.

TIM flips a few switches and the Nav coordinates appear in a row
on his terminal, counting down.

INT. X-WING COCKPIT, GREEN-TWO

GREEN-TWO notices something down and two his left, out in space.
A blue glow is coming from one of the larger asteroids.

GREEN-TWO: What in-? Green-Leader.

TIM: Go ahead Green-Two.

GREEN-TWO: I see something suspicious. Sir, take a look down
               and to your left.

TIM: Hmm?

TIM looks at that spot.

TIM: But we didn't see that before... Green-Leader to
               base. Are you receiving?

SOUND, B.G.: STATIC

TIM: Green-Leader to base.

SOUND, B.G.: STATIC

TIM: Cursed mechanical junk. Green-One, Two, lets go
               check it out.

GREEN-ONE/TWO: Roger.

The X-Wings make a turn, and dive down for the asteroid. Two of
the smaller asteroids around them are destroyed from a barrage of
blaster fire from behind.

GREEN-ONE: Interceptors!

From behind them, a squad of eight Tie-Interceptors are bearing
down on them.

TIM: Evasive maneuvers, now! Split them up!

TIM pulls upward. GREEN-ONE turns to the left, and GREEN-TWO
turns to the right.

GREEN-ONE is chased by three Interceptors who continue their
barrage. Continuing to evade, GREEN-ONE pulls them through tight
spots in the belt, resulting in one Interceptor crashing into one
of asteroids. GREEN-ONE turns his head back to see his
handiwork.

GREEN-ONE: One down-

He turns back and sees himself in a collision course with an
asteroid. He pulls up hard, but his left set of wings are ripped
off, spinning him out of control. The Interceptors simply follow
up and destroy him.
CUT TO:

GREEN-TWO

GREEN-TWO manages to get behind one of two of the three
Interceptors. With a burst, he destroys one of them, then speeds
downward. The other Interceptors pursue him, one crashing into
an asteroid as it tries to make the movement downward. Despite a
grand show of maneuvering, the Interceptor is a better shot than
most would imagine. GREEN-TWO explodes.

CUT TO:

TIM

TIM continues with an incredible amount of evading.

TIM: Base, this is Green-Leader. We are under attack.
               Repeat, we are under attack.

TIM dodges a few more shots.

TIM: Green-One, Green-Two, do you copy?

SOUND, B.G.: STATIC

TIM gulps very hard.

TIM: The best chance I've got is to stay here, and try
to do something. I get out in space, and they'll
               nail me.

TIM dives and spirals into the asteroids again.

TIM: This is Green-Leader. If anyone is receiving this
transmission, I am under attack by Imperial
forces. Repeat, I am under attack by Imperial
               forces. Request assistance.

A blaster shot rings off of his shields.

TIM: Down to ten-percent already? But I've barely even
               been shot yet!

Several more shots go passed him, and one knocks out one of the
engines. Several sparks go off in his cockpit.

TIM: Engines damaged...I can't even stop! R2! See if
               you can do something.

R2-Q1 beeps quite a bit.

TIM: Yes! Anything!

TIM speeds passed the four other Interceptors that join the two
behind him.

TIM: Wonderful!

He dodges again.

TIM: Once again, this is Green-Leader. I am under
attack by Imperial forces. I have lost control of
my engines, and my shields are down to ten
               percent. I request assis-

Some non-blaster shots come from ahead of him, and three
Interceptors explode. The others spread out.

TIM: Who- What was that?

He doesn't see anything up ahead.

TIM: Anything yet, R2?

R2-Q1 beeps a little bit, then whistles.

TIM: I see, well-

There is the sound of a light collision, and the X-Wing stops.
TIM looks up into the face of a large robot.

TIM: My HEAVENS!

His intercom begins to crackle, and a voice comes in.

GERALD (voice): This is Lieutenant Gerald Buraeu. Did you
               request assistance?

R2-Q1 gives a long whistle.

TIM: Y-yes! Thanks!

GERALD (v): Don't worry...the others will take care of your
               problem.

TIM gets an idea.

TIM: Lieutenant, I have a favor to ask.

GERALD (v): What is it?

TIM: One of the Imperial fighters, could you disable
               it, and not destroy it?

GERALD (v): What ever for?

TIM: It's weapons seem to be new. It would help-
GERALD (v): Yes.

INT. VALKYRIE COCKPIT

GERALD (v): Frank, destroy all but one of them. Disable the
               remaining one.

FRANK: You got it.

Two Valkyries (including FRANK's) fire upon the remaining
Interceptors and destroy all but one of them. FRANK catches up
to one of them. He changes to Battloid mode and grabs the ship,
and smashes the back of its engine.

CUT TO:

INT. BATTLESHIP GUINEVERE

GERALD's Valkyrie lands in the docking bay (with TIM's X-Wing in
hand). He sets is down on the ground. The other Valkyries land
in some time behind him. The bay then closes.

TIM: Where are we?

GERALD changes to Gerwalk.

GERALD: You are in the battleship Guinevere.

TIM: Guinevere?

Various personnel come into the bay to assist the pilots out of
their vehicles.

GERALD: There are going to be a lot of questions.

TIM (smiling): Yes, I have quite a few.

INT. BRIEFING ROOM, GUINEVERE

MAJOR, GERALD, TIM, and R2-Q1 are sitting around a table.

TIM: You're in what is know as the Ash sector.

MAJOR: The Ash sector? Where is that?

TIM: Right next to the Forifine sector. Exactly, where
               are all of you from?

MAJOR: We're from a planet called earth, in the Milky Way
               galaxy.

TIM: Earth? Milky Way? R2?

R2-Q1 beeps a few times.

MAJOR: Well?

TIM: No place that we know of. If you're off-course,
perhaps you need to change your hyper-space
drives. Since you've helped out a member of the
Rebellion, I'm sure that my comrades will help you
               out by fixing your drive.

MAJOR: The drives are working just fine. But we seemed
to have folded to a place quite farther away than
               we had intended.

TIM: Fold? Do you mean space-folding?

MAJOR: Exactly. Have you ever heard of it?

TIM: It's been floating around the galaxies for a
while, but no one has actually perfected it yet.

MAJOR: Well, it's hardly perfection, but it works.

R2 shakes a lot and beeps.

TIM: You've actually got a WORKING fold system? You're
right, R2, the Rebellion could use something like
               that.

MAJOR: We'd be glad to help, but we need our bearings to
finally go back in the right direction.

TIM: Well, I can show you to the base. Perhaps someone
               there can help you.

CUT TO:

INT. STAR DESTROYER HUE

COMM-OFFICER: Commander.

LAEL turns his head, and walks across the bridge to COMM-O.

LAEL: Yes, what is it?
COMM-O: Something you should see.

COMM-O types some information into his terminal. The screen
shifts to a view from a camera in an asteroid field. A blue
light flashes, and the Guinevere "warps" into view.

LAEL: By the Emperor's name...what is that?
COMM-O: It appears to be a ship,

A section of the monitor opens, displaying a small shell of the
ship.

COMM-O (cont'd): but doesn't conform to any previous
               specifications. The computer couldn't identify
               it.

The small display reads "Class: UNKNOWN".

LAEL: Intriguing. Could it be a rebel ship?

COMM-O: I would say no, but I'm not sure.

LAEL (looking at COMM-O): Not sure?

COMM-O: Take a look at this.

The screen changes, and several two Valkyries enter view,
changing to battloid mode and landing on an asteroid.

LAEL: The fighters changed...

COMM-O: Not only that, they destroyed all eight of our
Interceptors in that sector. They also escorted a
rebel X-wing fighter to its ship, and then the
ship left approximately two hours later.

LAEL: Get me General Viel on the Star Destroyer Goran.

CUT TO:

EXT. PLANET GURAY

The Guinevere folds into vicinity of the planet, and enters
orbit.

INT. REBEL BASE, PLANET GURAY

TAKS: GENERAL!

General HOUME races across the room toward TAKS.

HOUME: What is it?

TAKS: A ship just appeared near the planet!

HOUME: Appeared? It can't just "appear"! Wasn't there
anything giving it away from long range?

TAKS: No sir. I know these instruments like I would
know my children. It just appeared right there.
               I don't understand it.

NENCE: General, something is coming through the comm
               channel!
HOUME turns to the large monitor on the wall. There is a lot of
static, then eventually MAJOR appears on the screen.

MAJOR: I am Primary Commander Major, of the U.N. Spacy
ship Guinevere. To whom am I speaking?

HOUME: You are speaking to General Houme. Why are you
               here?

MAJOR: I will explain further, but we seem to have come
here by accident. We encountered, and saved, one
of your fighters that was under attack. The pilot
               is named Tim Hance.

HOUME: Is he alright?

MAJOR: Fully. He is in the process of preparing to go
down to the planet. Unfortunately, he don't know
how to repair your fighter to make it operable, so
it will be carried down. That is, with your
               permission, of course.

HOUME: Of course.

HOUME turns to NENCE.

HOUME: Tell the repair crew to get ready.

WIPE TO:

INT. CAVERN INTERIOR, REBEL BASE

There is a crew of approximately ten people who are waiting next
to a large open blast-door that leads outside. From the sky come
a few Valkyries, three in Fighter mode, and two in Battloid mode,
one carrying an X-wing, the other a TIE fighter.

The three Fighters land on the runway, and the Battloid lands on
its feet, and places the X-wing down on the ground. It then
changes to Gerwalk.

There are some "oohs" and "aahs" from the people.

TIM opens the hatch to his X-wing and steps on the ground.

TIM: Boy, I thought I'd never see THIS place again.

One hatch to one of the Valkyries opens up, and two men get out.

HOUME steps out on the runway.

One of the pilots takes off of his helmet. It is MAJOR. He
extends a hand to HOUME.

MAJOR: Primary Commander Major. You must be Houme,
               correct?
HOUME (shaking MAJOR's hand): Quite right.
MAJOR: I'm glad that we could find a outpost that would
               help us with our repairs.

Some of the tech people pull R2 out of the X-wing. TIM watches
until he is out, and they walk over to HOUME. TIM salutes.
HOUME returns it.

TIM: Returning from duty, sir.

HOUME: Quite an interesting day of events, isn't it?

TIM: You can say that again.

MAJOR: How early can repairs start?

HOUME: I would say immediately. We will send a repair
               team to your ship.

HOUME signals, and a few of the tech personnel go back into the
hangar.

TIM: Sir, there's something that I also asked to bring
               back.

HOUME: What is it?

TIM: A TIE fighter, sir.

HOUME: Just a TIE fighter?

TIM: Not just any. Perhaps I was just imagining
               things, but-

CUT TO:

EXT. TIE FIGHTER

TIM is pointing down at the cannons of the TIE fighter. Both TIM
and HOUME bend down for a closer look.

TIM: I may not know much about mechanical things, but I
DO believe that these aren't the run-of-the-mill
cannons that the Empire has been putting on their
               fighters.

HOUME: You could be right.

HOUME signals to a tech, who comes over.

HOUME (to the TECH): Tell me, does this look like a typical
               Imperial weapon?
TECH (studying it closely): No sir. It looks to be some sort of
boosted cannon. Look at how much extra wiring
there is. Gee, I'd like to see one in action to
               see what it can do.

TIM: Believe me, you don't.

HOUME: Tim? What happened?

TIM: I was at full shields. That TIE pelted me once.

HOUME: And?

TIM: Down to ten-percent.

HOUME/TECH: Ten percent?

TIM: I don't know, but I think that the Empire's got a
               trump card...and here it is.

CUT TO:

MAJOR

MAJOR is speaking to a tech from the Guinevere through a
terminal.

MAJOR: How long before we can get moving?

TECH: The damage isn't as bad as I thought it was. We
can get ready to leave within a day.

MAJOR: Very good. Signing off.

The terminal goes blank.

MAJOR: General Houme!

HOUME (walking over): Yes, what is it?

MAJOR: My techs say that we can be ready to leave within
a day. We don't want to impose longer that we
               have to.

HOUME: Don't be. It's not every day that you get to meet
people from what is clear across the universe!
However, we may need your help sometime soon.

MAJOR: How so?

CUT TO:

INT. BRIEFING ROOM
HOUME and MAJOR are sitting around a table. HOUME presses a
button, a holo-image of a planet appears above the center of the
table.

HOUME: For the past few months, the Empire has been
staging a siege of one of our bases on the planet
               Banadi.

MAJOR: Go on.

HOUME: Even though they have been holding up, just
               recently, we received this transmission.

HOUME presses another button. The planet disappears, and an
image of a person appears, amid static.

PERSON: General...we are...attack...Empire...overrunning
               us...required...we think...new weapon...used...
               assistance...

The image then disappears.

HOUME: We have been preparing for assistance ever since.

MAJOR: That person said 'new weapon'. Do you think that
it could have something to do with those cannons
that were on that fighter you wanted us to bring
               back?

HOUME: We really don't know, but it's a safe bet. What
we need is something...new...that will give us an
edge. Something that will confuse the Empire's
force's until we can garner the upper hand.

MAJOR: And you think my Valkyrie forces could be that
               'new' element?

HOUME: You're a bright man.

MAJOR: Well, General, I have one question: when do we
               leave for Banadi?

CUT TO:

SPACE, ABOVE THE PLANET GURAY

The Guinevere is floating in orbit.

INT. GUINEVERE CORRIDOR

MAJOR is walking through the corridor. He moves out of the way
of some of the techs that are working on the walls.

INT. BRIDGE
A door opens, and MAJOR walks in. He sits down in his chair. He
presses a button on his chair.

MAJOR: How long before the ship is operational?

TECH: It's operational now. The techs are simply making
a few adjustments on things that we didn't make
               before.

MAJOR: Good. (to COMM-O) Gather the crew. We have a
situation we need to deal with.

CUT TO:

INT. REBEL BASE BRIEFING ROOM

HOUME is standing in a group of people, who are all seated.

HOUME: This is the hour that we have been preparing for.
We leave for the planet Banadi very shortly.
Our whole goal in this assault is to drive the
Empire away from Banadi, and collect our troops
from there. From our sources, we gather that
there will be a large amount of forces in orbit,
space, and on the ground. We will first jump to
               a spot here,

HOUME points to a spot on the holo-image.

HOUME (cont'd): close enough to Banadi that we will be able to
begin the attack. After a short time, the
Guinevere will fold to a location near the planet,
in an attempt to draw more fire, and cause
confusion. We will not be dropping troops on the
planet's surface. Major's Valkyrie fighters will
descend on the planet, and continue there, while
               we fight in orbit.

CUT TO:

INT. GUINEVERE BRIDGE

COMM-O: Sir, the Rebel forces have just completed the
               jump to hyperspace.

MAJOR: On my mark, set the countdown for twenty minutes.
               ...now.

CUT TO:

INT. STAR DESTROYER GORAN

General VIEL is sitting in his chair upon the bridge.

COMM-O: General Viel, a message from Commander Lael on the
               Star Destroyer Hue.

VIEL: Patch him through.

LAEL's holo-image appears in front of VIEL.

VIEL: Yes, Lael, what is it?

LAEL: Sir, I believe that the Rebels are amassing for
an attack on our forces at the planet Banadi.

VIEL: Can't you take care of it?

LAEL: I may need extra forces, sir. The rebels seem to
               have a new 'weapon'.

VIEL: New weapon?

LAEL: Yes, sir. It appears to be a space-folding
               warship.

VIEL: Folding?

LAEL: Yes. I...we...would appreciate any extra forces
               that you could provide.

VIEL sighs.

VIEL: Commander, I will assist personally. I would like
to see this 'new' weapon in person.

LAEL: That you, General.

LAEL bows and the image disappears. VIEL stands and walks off of
the bridge, and down a corridor.

VIEL: Either the Commander Lael is an utter idiot, or
the rebels are smarter than we've imagined. It
looks as though I shouldn't take either for
               granted.

CUT TO:

PLANET BANADI, FAR AWAY

The rebel ships begin to exit from hyperspace to the coordinates
that HOUME said.

INT. TIM'S COCKPIT

TIM: This is Green Leader, standing by. Pre-lim
               check.

GREEN-ONE: Green-One, standing by.

GREEN-TWO: Green-Two, standing by.

GREEN-THREE: Green-Three, standing by.

GREEN-FOUR: Green-Four, standing by.

TIM adjusts a few switches.

TIM: R2, you ready?

R2-Q1 whistles and beeps.

TIM: Good. Let's hit them where it hurts!

CUT TO:

INT. STAR DESTROYER HUE, BRIDGE

COMM-O: Sir! The rebels have dropped out of hyperspace!

LAEL: Excellent. Inform General Viel at once. Send
               all fighters out immediately.

CUT TO:

INT. GUINEVERE, BRIDGE

COMM-O: Time is almost up, sir.

A timer on the main viewer counts down from 10 seconds, down to
0.

MAJOR: Fold.

EXT. GUINEVERE

The Guinevere begins to waver, and then disappear from sight.

CUT TO:

EXT. PLANET BANADI

TIM: Two Star Destroyers!

GREEN-TWO: I see them, too!

CUT TO:

INT. REBEL SHIP, RATCHET

HOUME: We're going to have to play it safe, until Major's
               forces get here.

TIM: And here come the fighters! Break formation!
               Green-Three, you're on my wing.

GREEN-THREE: Copy Green-Leader.

TIM and THREE dive, as the other three fighters go upward. The
various other rebel fighters scatter as TIE Interceptors begin
their attacks.

CUT TO:

INT. STAR DESTROYER GORAN, BRIDGE

VIEL: Move into range. Destroy those rebel ships and
               carriers.

CUT TO:

EXT. PLANET GURAY

The Guinevere folds into view.

INT. STAR DESTROYER GORAN

COMM-O: SIR! A ship has just appeared near the planet!

VIEL: WHAT?!

COMM-O: Right near the planet.

VIEL: Rebels...they HAVE a fold system.

INT. GUINEVERE

MAJOR: Launch all Valkyrie forces now! Send the
designated branch down to the planet.

COMM-O: Yes sir!

CUT TO:

TIM

TIM cuts through three TIE interceptors while dodging their own
fire.

TIM: Green-Three, how are you holding up back there?

GREEN-THREE: Just fine!

Four Interceptors sneak up from behind and begin firing on the
two.

GREEN-THREE: On our backs!

TIM: I see them! Try and shake them off within the
               fields of other fighters.

GREEN-THREE: Roger.

TIM and THREE dive into the thick of battle with the other
fighters, trying to dodge not only the shots from behind, but the
stray ones from the battle that they are entering.

All of the sudden, THREE goes explodes.

TIM looks back.

TIM: Damn it!

TIM pushes the X-wing harder, but doesn't seem to be able to
shake the Interceptors.

TIM: Come on, get off my back!

The four Interceptors explode from a rain of missiles.

TIM looks around and sees two Valkyries pass by.

TIM: Whew! Thanks guys!

CUT TO:

PLANET GURAY, SURFACE

The planet Guray is a forested planet with tall trees. In one
cleared area, three AT-ATs cut through the dense forest.
Eventually, they get through to the main clearing where the rebel
base is. They begin firing upon it, even though they are still a
healthy distance away.

INT. AT-AT ECO-ONE

PILOT-ONE: There appears to be some fighters passing
               overhead.

PILOT-TWO: I see them. Are they X-wings?

PILOT-ONE: Know. I've never seen them before.

Two of the six Valkyries from overhead change to Gerwalk and land
a good distance away, in front of the AT-ATs.

PILOT-TWO: What the-?!

PILOT-ONE: Whatever they are, shoot them!

The AT-ATs begin to open fire on the Valkyries. The two
Valkyries dodge by rolling on the ground, then open fire with
their gun pods. Most of the shells seem to bounce harmlessly off
of the armor of the AT-AT. One of the Valkyries then gets up and
fires nearly every missile that is has in its arsenal.

INT. ECO-ONE

PILOT-ONE: It's going to-!

EXT. ECO-ONE

The AT-AT's head explodes, along with the rest of it.

The other AT-ATs continue shooting. The Valkyrie that launched
its missiles is destroyed.

CUT TO:

INT. RATCHET

The ship has taken some heavy damage. HOUME is talking to a
monitor.

HOUME: Major, it looks as though we may have lost this
               battle.

MAJOR: It's not over yet.

HOUME: Yes, it is. If we could only get rid of those
               Star Destroyers...

MAJOR: Perhaps we can. Do you think you could get us a
               little more cover?

HOUME: I'll see what I can do.

INT. GUINEVERE

MAJOR: Get us in a line with those two Star Destroyers.

COMM-O: For what?

MAJOR: We're going to fire the reflex cannon.

COMM-O: In this state? The ship won't survive!

MAJOR: That's why we're going to abandon the ship.

CUT TO:

INT. ECO-TWO COCKPIT

PILOT-TWO: What the?

The AT-AT begins to lean to the right a bit.

PILOT-ONE: How in?

EXT. ECO-TWO

Two Valkyries are pushing on the side of the AT-AT. With another
heave, the AT-AT goes down to the ground, and explodes.

INT. ECO-THREE

PILOT-TWO: What now?

PILOT-ONE: We go down fighting.

The AT-AT begins firing a large barrage at the oncoming
Valkyries. It wipe out three of them.

The remaining Valkyries stop and launch all of their missiles.
The final AT-AT promptly goes up in smoke.

CUT TO:

INT. RATCHET

HOUME: Major, I hope you know what you're doing.

INT. GUINEVERE

COMM-O: Sir! We are in position!

MAJOR: Begin unlocking the reflex cannon. Set the
firing time for six minutes. Start on my
mark. And tell the fighters to get out of the
               way!

COMM-O: Done!

MAJOR: Now here this! All hands, abandon this ship!
The reflex cannon has been armed and is ready to
               fire! (to COMM-O) NOW!

COMM-O hits a button, and the timer begins counting down.

INT. HUE

LAEL: What do you suppose they are doing?

INT. TIM'S COCKPIT

TIM: What? Get out of the way? For what?

COMM-O: Just break away back to the Ratchet!

TIM: Okay. Green Squadron, retreat to the Ratchet!
Something big is going to happen. I'd sure like
               to know what.

EXT. GUINEVERE

Part of the front of the hull of the Guinevere begins to pull
back, revealing some sort of large cylinder.

INT. STAR DESTROYER HUE

LAEL: Some sort of...weapon?! Shield at FULL! NOW!

EXT. GUINEVERE

The cylinder begins to take in particles, and then there is a
large burst of light. A large beam of energy is launched
straight toward the Hue. After a fraction of a second of
struggling with the shields, it punctures through them through
the Star Destroyer, and through to the Goran behind it. The beam
continues through the Goran, and flies off into the nothingness
of space. The Guinevere then explodes.

INT. RATCHET

HOUME: I don't believe it! It took out two Star
Destroyers! Quick! Send the fighters back in
               to mop up!

CUT TO:

PLANET GURAY

The Valkyries continue their attacks on the surface, sending
stormtroopers scattering for cover, and shooting AT-STs as they
appear.

INT. RATCHET

MAJOR (v): This is commander Major. Come in, please.

HOUME: Major! You're alive! That was brilliant
               display of firepower!

MAJOR: But we lost the Guinevere.

HOUME: But we won! The Imperials are dumbfounded. It's
only a matter of time before they're chased off
               from here.

MAJOR: And from what I gather, my forces have the ground
secure. However, there is still one thing.

HOUME: What's that?

MAJOR: I think we're going to be stuck here for a long
               while.

HOUME: Quite right. And as heroes, no doubt.

FADE TO BLACK AND CREDITS

                            FIN

-----------------------------------------------------------------
It looks like yet another crossover is over. This one was a
little bit of a stretch, but I think that I remember a thread
going around one of the anime newsgroups about "Valkyrie vs. TIE
Fighter" or something to that effect. So, here was a fanfic
about it. If people liked it, then good. If people didn't like
it, then fine...I don't like YOU either.
It may have been a quick fanfic, and lacked substance, but, oh
well.
