ON BEING ARCHMAGE

To reflect on my term as ArchMage I'd think one word sums it up. However it would be too easy for you to stop reading if I simply said that one word here, wouldn't it?

I had to follow Furchin who, as it seemed, tried to squeeze everything into his term that he could when he neared the end. Clerics and the constitution came to mind. So what was there left for me to do? Plenty, but did I do it? Not really.

I have found when it comes to leadership I am gung ho until I get the job, then I'm counting the days until I can get RID of the job. Silly me, huh? But what I did do could be famous or infamous. I amended the constitution.

Basically I saw a loophole - I could do it without anyone else's imput as it was worded. I also noticed Furchin had made it an iron-clad document. I wanted to fix both situations. And I thought I did a decent job. But people will always prove you wrong if you give them a chance.

What I mean is Morganza almost succeeded in messing with the spirit of the amendments (no knock on her, her reasoning was very justified and I had accidentally given her the necessary legal ability by not taking every interpretation of the First Amendment into consideration). But thankfully she did not, and I'm not going to tell you what she almost did (no need giving you ArchMages any ideas, you know).

So that one word to sum up my term? Well, I lied, there is no one word, there is two: promise and shoulda-been (hah, I cheated on that last one, go ahead and sue me over it).
