I am a F-15 Crew Chief in the United States Air Force. Before i joined, i wouldn't have known the difference between a F-15 and a 747. Now, as a crew chief, i am responsible for the overall maintence and upkeep of my jet. The jets usually fly during the day. After the last flight of the day, the crew chief does a basic inspection of the plane. This is usually when the night shift comes in, which would include me. The plane is turned over to the night shift and we repair anything that is broke and try to get as many jets as we can ready for the next day
