Sunset Shadows
Sunset shadows slip slightly Color by color into vast expanse of sky. I watch them go; Watch them cradled between a pair of palms. The laughter floats among their clouds And mingles with mixed medleys of moonlit sky. Luminaries will twinkle as if keeping a secret. Fresh breezes will touch a kiss to our bare flesh. Waves set a tone as we dance into dimness. Dawn, don’t break the barriers of sleep and dreams. Fantasies flirt with us during the day Until another sunset shadows. written: 12.18.03 © 2004, Emily Godsey .Back. |
