I Hate Ice

Cold, lonely, bored
Of all the seasons I abhor
Winter with its freezing bitter atmosphere
Chills me at this time of year

Trapped in the ice and snow
Wanting to drive, wanting to go
Away from here
I want to be near…
You

Separated by the weather
It controls us from being together
Even school would be better than this
Seeing you is happy bliss

Under seven blankets in my bed
I wanna be on the beach instead
I'm turning purple, my teeth are chattering
Winter on me isn't flattering

Naming Emmy's new goldfish
Is the biggest event of the day, I wish
It were warm and that I could get out of bed
And I wish that George wasn't dead

So yes it's cold and icy and boring
And I will never find myself adoring
The cold winter that makes me blue
I hate winter, how about you?
