Brian Glen Hammers
Brian Glen Hammers was born on July 7, 1971 and died on December 21, 2003 at the age of 32 years.
He had a rare disease that affected his immune system and attacked his liver. It eventually shut his whole body down.   I watched him slowly die  of this for years.  He was in the prime of his life  he had just bought a new car, got a promotion to boss at his job, and was looking for a new house. This is a person who I seen everyday for fourteen years and then slowly he started to slip away from me and there was nothing I could do help him. I'm now fifteen and almost completely lost without him. He was a great person. He was always there to help me everytime that I needed him. He got our mom and me this house that we live in and most of the furniture that's in it. He even got me my puppy when I turned thirteen.

There are so many people in the world today dying of diseases and their only chance of survival is an organ donation.  A lot of them die because there aren't enough donars.  I encourage all of you who are able to become donors.  Think of the lives you can save by signing the back of your drivers license. The only way that I can think of to repay him back is that when I'm older I plan on helping in the research for cures for diseases like this and campaigning to get people to sign the back of their drivers license to become organ donors. There's more people needing transplants and having no chance then there is people becoming organ donors. It's what he would have wanted and I'm going to do this. I'm proud of him and always will be. I'll see him again one day.
