Tiger in Wonderland

                        XI/XII

Tiger caught her breath at the sight of the Kingdom of
Hearts. There was no way humanly possible to explain
what she saw... it was as if everything gave off a
gentle glow....The King Of Hearts met them at the
Palace. She was still deep in wonder... She knew
immediately who this was. And the March Hare ... and
the Cheshire Cat... and the Black King and White
King... It all fell together for her. Eric grinned as
it hit home... The King just grinned... "This one
needs some TLC... and you're the best person for the
job!" motioning to Tiger and speaking to Eric. Eric
just chuckled at that... Leading her inside the gates
of the Palace... She nearly went into shock when she
felt Eric touch her...but NOT in the way she had
expected...*HOW?!* was her last surprised reply before
she fainted... "Sensory overload... Get her inside and
safe." was the last thing she heard...


                        XIII

 Tiger awoke to soft candlelight. She stirred slightly
and felt a hand gently brush against her face and
hair...Looking into warm brown eyes... She lost
herself in that moment. A warm smile lit up his face.
She smiled back in delight. Everything felt warm and
full of love. "Feeling better?" he asked quietly. She
nodded her agreement. Then she felt a deep burst of
love like she had never felt before and sent it to him
and it was returned back to her. The last thing she
consciously recognized was his lips covering hers in a
gentle kiss....then feeling warm, loving, passionate,
pure energy flowing through both, causing both to
merge into a rainbow colored light. She could not
describe the feelings.. no words could do them
justice. Later, they both talked a long time about
things...and just enjoyed each other's company...She
lost her heart then and there....Forever.. she knew.

 
                        XIV

Tiger and Eric walked along the path, laughing and
talking to one another, just enjoying each other's
company. "There is so much that has left me changed
since the time that I came here." Tiger remarked
quietly. "I've noticed that" he grinned at her. She
smiled at him. Suddenly his grin grew mischievious and
a wrestling match broke out. Out of breath and
laughing, she signalled her surrender. He gently
pulled her up to a sitting position and both started
laughing again. Finally they just sat there a while,
basking in the glow of being together. "The White
King's Kingdom is just ahead. We'll make it before
nightfall." She nodded agreement, and they started
walking again. The White King was waiting on them
both. Tiger treated the White King with respect, which
he noted. After dinner, both were left to their own
devices. They walked in the garden together. The full
moon glowed brightly as they both sat on a stone bench
and talked more. Holding hands, they explored the
garden. The soft moonlight gave everything an
eretheral glow to it, much like the King Of Hearts
Kingdom. They played a game of hide and seek in the
maze. Tiger was glowing from sheer happiness, as Eric
finally caught her. Rainbow light spilled from both as
they touched, and her heart soared. She knew that she
was treasured by Eric. A rock solid feeling of peace
flooded her heart and soul. "So this is what love
feels like" she whispered to him. He smiled. "You got
it, Bright Eyes" He led her back inside the castle to
their room. He sat her down and told her about his
past and why he had such a haunted look at the Well of
Rememberance. She understood fully and let him know
that she did. He smiled and rainbows began filling the
room as all other thoughts slipped away. Both merged
into the rainbow light for hours on end. Finally
exhausted, both fell asleep in each others arms.
Tomorrow was a new day.


                        XV

As they approached the kingdom, her body started to
shake and vanish. With a heart wrenching cry, she
woke up on the trail, her best friend, Max holding her
head off the ground. "Where am I.. I WANT TO GO BACK!"
She cried as the reality set in. She would not and
could not explain Wonderland. She locked it deep insde
her heart to be treasured forever.
