Saskatchewan is a province of Western Canada that borders the states of Montana and North Dakota. Saskatchewan's one million people are spread over 250,000 square miles.
Southern half of the province is a fertile farmland of unparalleled magnitute;
Northern half is a rocky wilderness of infinite forests and thousands of lakes.

Saskatchewan's modern settlement began after American Civil War. Canadian government feared Americans would try to claim Canadian West. To prevent American encrouchment the government decided to settle the West. "Dominion Lands Act" was passed where every family could get free 160 acres of farmland. Government agents fanned out across Europe and United States with promises of free land and government protection. Half a million settlers came to Saskatchewan from every country in Europe, and United States. American pioneers proved excellent settlers with farming experience, capital and familiar culture.

Today Saskatchewan is the greatest grain producing region in the world. What made Saskatchewan so attractive to settlers? Free land, farming, and orderly settlement. Favourable combination of soils' high natural fertility, reliable rainfall during May to September growing season, long and warm summer days make ideal conditions for farming. Wheat is king here, but diverse grain and pulse crops, forrage, livestock, and vegetables are also produced in Saskatchewan.

Climate brief Regina: Annual precipitation about 20 inches, 75% of which falls as spring/summer showers
January average daytime high -8C
July average daytime high 26C
Seeding/field work begins late April/early May; apple and cherry blossoms appear in early May; harvest in August/September

Today farming in Saskatchewan is in a relative decline, i.e. fewer people are engaged in it, due mainly to urbanization and low commodity prices. Farming is big business now. Politicians worry about the future of a family farm. There is still opportunity though for a profitable small farm growing specialty crops and livestock, fruits and vegetables, small manufacturing, and food proccessing. The potential in Saskatchewan for profitable farming and farm related business cannot be overstated. And yet Saskatchewan remains today relatively undeveloped, underpopulated, and unknown outside of Canada. While land prices remain low, now is the time to invest and move to Saskatchewan. Some of the benefits of living in Saskatchewan include low cost of living, free medical care, modern infrastructure, friendly people, unlimited recreational opportunities, and lots of room to grow. People here enjoy good quality of life. Saskatchewan is waiting for you!!!

I offer affordable acreages for sale in Saskatchewan with good owner financing terms. All of my land is productive farmland and is currently being farmed.
Some parcels have trees on them. Good availability of water. Good homes and acreages for safe retreat, farming and peacefull enjoyment. Some homes are near land, some homes are in towns without land nearby.

All information here about land and homes is beleived to be fairly accurate, and described to the my best of knowlege, but is not guaranteed. Prospective purchasers are encouraged to inspect the property prior to buying.
