Name changes: CATT/was KATZ(a son of Michael who migrated to Phil., Pa
in 1738 had a sense of humor and called himself"Scratch"Catt(Philip)
BORDERS/was BADER-COONROD/was KONRAD-MOORE/was MOHR and Mauer-
DECKER/DECKMAN-the only one that didn't change was FREDERICK, all
migrated in the mid 1700's to PA mostly Tulpehocken area and then on
to the Northwest Territory/Indiana.

Waldschmidt or Waldschmid became Waltsmith, Wadsmith, Waldsmit
My biggest problem has been trying to find the original German name for
Barnett. So far I have found my ancestors with the following spellings:
Bernet, Bernhart, Barnhard, Bernerd, Barlotte and Barnet
