	Welcome to the Teens In Action Website!

	Be a part of our new volunteer group and earn community service hours working in various areas of the our Recreation Department! The TIA program will teach you how to be professional, how to work as a team, and how to interact with other people. In this program, you not only earn community service hours, you have lots of fun!

Teens In Action...an "AWARD WINNING" program! The City of North Miami Parks and Recreation Department's Teens In Action volunteer program has been recognized with the 2001-2002 Dade Partners Exemplary Award for their continuous hard work, dedication, and involvement in the community. Teens In Action...a NATIONALLY RECOGNIZED PROGRAM!!! The Teens In Action Volunteer Program has been recognized nationally! The program is represented as a model to many communities nationally in The "Best Practices in Youth Development in Public Park and Recreation Settings" - a book written by Peter A. Witt and John L. Crompton from Texas A&M University; published by: Division of Professional Services National Recreation and Park Association!
