Newsletter Activity – Students will use word processing skills, and internet search skills to create a newsletter.  Each student will be responsible for creating their own newsletter with original content.  Some pictures from the internet will be used to enhance the newsletter.

**NOTE – The skills presented in the EIP Summer Academy do not follow a particular high school course.  The curriculum I’ve put together for this class is designed to help students throughout the school year as they use computers for class projects.  Students will be required to type reports for History, English, Science, etc.  Basic word processing skills can make completing these assignments much easier.  Many teachers have students use PowerPoint to create class projects.  Having good PowerPoint skills as you enter high school will make these assignments much easier.  EIP students should definitely have an advantage over their peers when in comes to computer software skills.
