By the heart of Nyx came forth the cosmic egg from the darkness of the night. The life of light sprang forth and existence came into formation by the act of union and love was the fire and way of the law.

To Night I sing, Mother of the Gods and of Man,

Thou Nyx who gave birth to all,

For this let us call Thee by the name Kypris

Hear me O Blessed Goddess,

Who has the brightness of darkness, giving light to the Stars,

Thou art happy in silence and bring very peaceful sleep.

Thou art happiness, gracefulness, Who loves the over-night celebrations, Mother of Dreams.

Thee who makes man forget his everyday cares and gives him beautiful rest from his labours,

For You give them sleep and are friend to all, and guides the horses and lightens the night.

Thou art divided, terrestrial and still celestial,

You revolve round and play with the game that Wanders through the air.

You send light into the depths of the earth and even shine upon Hades.

For You govern all, The Superior, the Invincible Power, that no-one can resist.

But now, O Happy Blessed Nyx, Who art for all much desired and accessible,

Hear my imploring words and come in kind spirit

And banish the nightly fears.

By the strength of all the Ka in the dominion of the stars, I invoke Nyx who resides deep within our minds from above.

May the blessings shine on Earth from Mount Olympus and the Gods favor our wills as we celebrate these ancient mysteries.

Let the adoration of this devotion enkindle with understanding to allow us to surpass in stature as Glorians of a timeless past.
