Three Six Mafia-The End (January 1997) Reviews

#1. Our Arrival (Intro)- Has a clip from the movie "Independence Day". Typical, but after further listening to the CD, it isn't another better way to start off than this one.

#2. Stomp- Bad ass beat to this one, using the theme to the TV show "Unsolved Mysteries". The best verse to me was Juicy J. Seemed like he couldn't stop the pace to his flow, plus he twisted a little bit which was awesome. They later use the hook in this for the hook Track #8 on the Tear Da Club Up Thugs CD.
My Rating:4 out of 5

#3. Money Flow- This features K-Roc from Killa Klan Kaze, who gets the first verse and goes off the chain. Next to him in the song has to be Lord Infamous who twists the hell out of his verse. Everybody else came off too,but this track had K-Roc and Lord with the best ones. By the way, they use the beat from  Aaliyah's "If Your Girl Only Knew".
My Rating:4 out of 5

#4.Late Nite Tip- Classic ass song. They use an old school Lisa Fischer beat and talk about sex and drugs. But got-dawg, that boy Koop broke it down at the last verse! Bad ass song if you got bass in ya' ride.
My Rating:5 out of 5

#5. Got'cha Shakin'- This song was solely aimed for former-Three Six member Playa Fly. They use a beat that's a cross between the song Fly used to diss Three Six, and the beat Gangsta Blac used for "Where I Dwell". The hook for this song is comes from part of DJ Paul's verse on that same song also. DJ Paul got the best verse on here. Then,LOL, the last 2 minutes of the song wa straight yellin' and sh*t talkin toward Fly.
My Rating:5 out of 5

#6.I Ain't Goin'- a pretty cold-ass song...the second known song to where Juicy J does the breathing behind his verse. Average really to me, but I play it often.
My Rating:3.5 out of 5

#7. Good Stuff- Using the beat from Johnnie Taylor's "Good Love", they turn it out about a song on gettin high. I think Juicy J got the coldest verse. They update this song on World Domination (track #22)
My Rating:4 out of 5

#8.Walk Up To Yo House- The crunkest track on here in my opinion. This song is a remake of the Three Six underground of the same name. Koop got the coldest verse, he has a schitzo-type tone to his. Juice used the same verse he did on the underground song, everybody elses verses was tight as well.
My Rating:5 out of 5

#9. In-2-Deep- Naaah. I did'nt really like this song...mainly cuz the beat didn't hit home. Much like "All Or Nuthin" on Mystic Styles, lyrics was kool, but nothin for a beat.
My Rating:1.5 out of 5

#10. Last Man Standing- Scary ass beat. This song also features Gangsta Blac and M-Child. Everyone comes off psychotic, not to mention DJ Paul sends Bone Thugs a quick diss in his verse (opening line). Awesome song.
My Rating:4 out of 5

#11. Destruction Terror- Another horror movie style beat (with the Jason Vorhees noise in the background), and the hook is from LL Cool J's "Mama Said Knock You Out". The best verse to me was Lord Infamous. Juicy J had a cold ass verse too. I imagine a street at night-time when I listen to this.
My Rating:4 out of 5

#12. Body Parts- A Prophet Posse collaboration. Best verse to me was Juicy J (in which he also uses it on track #16 on Tear Da Club Up Thugs). I like Gangsta Blac's verse to where bass was added in the background. K-Roc, Killa Klan, Indo G, M-Child and others come clean. Crunchy sings in his verse also.
My Rating:5 out of 5

#13.Where's Da Bud- In my opinion, Lord Infamous's most notorious solo ever. This is, of course, an updated remake of the underground song of the same name. Bad ass song, although I must say the underground has the edge cuz he twists his ass off in it. Never the less, this is a smoke song to smoke to.
My Rating:5 out of 5

#14.Get M' Crunk- Damn I love this beat! I imagine serial killers with guns when I listen to this! Everybody showed out and represented, no doubt. Best verse was Lord Infamous or DJ Paul's.
My Rating:5 out of 5

#15. Where Da Killers Hang- This song features Project Pat as well. The hook, as you can guess, is from one of Master P's notorious songs "Bout It". The best verse was problably Pat. Everyone was pertty tight.
My Rating: 4 out of 5

#16. The End- Basically an instrumental. Now I know when you listen to this, you problably will think like me and say "this song would be cold as hell if SOMEONE flowed on this". But guess what, they bring the beat back on track #13 on Prophet Posse's Body Parts( to which T-Rock and M-Child flow to)
My Rating:2 out of 5 (would have been a perfect 5 if someone rapped)

#17. Life Or Death- This really was a Killa Klan Kaze track, featuring Koopsta Knicca. It was a litle something to warm up for their album that came out the next year, entitled "Timez Up". K-Roc got the best verse.
My Rating:4 out of 5

All in all, this CD is bad ass. Only one song I didn't agree to, to which they bring it back on Chapter 2, but never the less this CD is cold. It's one of 2 full-length CD's they release in 1997.
My Rating Overall:4.5 out of 5
