Thom and Gerry's Web Page

Welcome to our home page. Gerry's the pretty one on the right holding Ozzie, but I bet you already guessed that. This web page will, hopefully, tell you a little about us, and especially the things we enjoy in our lives together.

We live in the city of Springfield, Massachusetts located in the western (rural) part of the state. On this page, we hope to share with you some of the many places that make Massachusetts and New England special.

Now, a little about who we are. Thom is 53 and after spending 23 years as an Underwriter for the Aetna Life & Casualty is now enjoying a career as a Logistics Broker at Five Star Logistics. Thom is an active Freemason and enjoys spending time with Gerry, of course. In addition to Freemasonry, Gerry and Ozzie (our dog) I also am an avid sports fan and devoutly follow the Boston Redsox and Super Bowl's XXXVI and XXXVIII Champion New England Patriots .

Gerry is about the same age as Thom (you know a woman's vanity) and has many varied interests. In fact, why don't we just have her tell you about them in her own words........

How do you like our web page so far? I hope you're enjoying it. Thom has spent a lot of time putting it together, to give you an opportunity to share in the things that we hold near and dear. But, now it's my turn to give you a chance to get to know me a little better.

I was born in Casablanca, Morocco and my family and I moved here to escape the war that was raging between the French and the Arabs. When I arrived in the US, I couldn't speak a word of English and had to endure ribbing from the kids in school because I talked funny. It didn't take me long to learn the language and adapt to being an American. I've never had an opportunity to return to Casablanca for a visit, but I hope to one day. I consider it a privilege and an honor to be an American, and stand proud by its waving flag.

Thom and I met in 1999 and we became husband and wife in May, 2003. My interests run very parallel to Thom's, but I also do a lot of crafts. I love working with my hands, creating something beautiful to keep or to give away, and I always have something nice to show for my time. I've done a lot of knitting, crocheting, sewing, hooking rugs and macrame. The most recent craft I've been involved in is stained glass, which I started doing in 1993. I fell in love with it immediately and was hooked! My house is filled with many different pieces that I've created over the years, and I never tire of looking at each one. I have my own webpage called Classy Glass which displays some of my pieces. If you get a chance, check it out and let me know what you think. Better yet, if you want to purchace anything, let me know and I'd be happy to accommodate you.

Since I met Thom, we've done a lot of travelling throughout New England, but when we're on vacation, we love the Caribbean! That is definately our favorite place to be. In fact, on our last cruise, Thom and I became engaged and now we're looking forward to becoming man and wife! Make sure you check out our Caribbean page.

Our next favorite thing to do is play with Ozzie! We got Ozzie through a stroke of luck. I happened to be at the right place at the right time! And we thank our lucky stars!!. He is such a joy in every way, and the best pet a person can have.
