In Memory of
Thomas Michael Cox

March 31, 2002
Thomas went to live in Heaven
with Jesus that day
Rest safe in the arms of Jesus, Little One
until we can hold you in ours. We love you.

This is a poem my sister wrote about Thomas
the day before the funeral

Thomas

Some angels live and never die.
Thomas was born with wings that could fly.
Unlike his mother, he had a weak heart,
that silver cord will never fall apart.
His delicate hands, his tiring eyes,
his tender soul created his cries.
The earth is enormous, the space we could give,
God could have made room for an angel to live.
The chances were low, our instints were high.
The heartbreaking words were to say, "Good-bye."
Now that he's gone we most understand.
Thomas won't grow to be a little man.
Some angels live and never die.
Thomas was born with wings that could fly.
