Have you ever had an experience in your life that was so bad that when you went to bed you hoped that you would wake up and find out that it was all a dream? Back in the summer of 2000 that was what happened with me. I went to the emergency room with shortness of breath. I was diaognosed as morbidly obese. Because of my condition I also found that I was had had long term uncontrolled high blood preasure and heart problem. I was told that if I did not do something about my health I would not live to see my 35th birthday. At the time I was only 29 years old.

In the early summer of 2002 I had weight loss surgery. Before you find out what this page is all about let me tell you what it is not. I did not write this page to brag about how good my life is since the surgery, nor am I trying to do the PLOM (poor little old me ) thing. Lord knows that I am not saying that what worked for me will work for you.  Why I chose to do what I did was to save my life. It was not a walk through the roses and the changes that I have gone undergone are now a part of my life forever. There is no going back.

I am writing the because there is somebody else out there that is living the same nightmare that I was talking about at the beginning of this. If that person is reading this then chances are they are looking for something. If they can find what they are looking for in "My Story" then putting this small page together was worth it. If not, the best that I can say is that I hope that you find what you are looking for. Good luck.

Take care.
