New stuff

Here are a few pictures from 2007 so far.

In January our friend Ting visited and taught us (Justina) how to make dumplings. She was embarassed that we were using a drinking glass instead of a rolling pin and commented that her mother would be ashamed of her if she ever found out. I assured Ting that that would never happen.

Singing with Amy, Jeff and Jessica in February. Justina's thinking "these people look like idiots..."

In early July Justina's cousin Ndatala visited (third from left). We arranged a fireworks display in her honor downtown on the mall, then watched from the room of Connie and Michael's building.

Later in July our friend Festus Mbandeka visited. No fireworks for him, we just hung out in the back yard. For some reason Justina finds this picture embarassing (as if there's some shame in eating watermelon).

Old stuff

Here are some pictures from 2005. (Pictures from 2006 have been removed from this site for security reasons.)
Here are some pictures from 2004 and before: some parties in Honduras, some travel in Honduras, when my parents visited us, and our trip to Europe.

Here are some pictures from our 2003 drive to Honduras. It's exactly 9,466 miles from Derwood, Maryland to Tegucigalpa, Honduras, if you take the round-about route staying with all our friends along the way.

Here are a few pictures from our first months in Tegucigalpa, and a few of Antigua, Guatemala, which we visited in May 2003.

Here are some pictures of the Basilica de Notre Dame de la Paix in Yamoussoukro, Côte d'Ivoire, a country in which we lived from 2000-2002.

Also a few pictures from our trip in May 2002 up to Burkina Faso.

Here are a few pictures of our 2002 vacation to Namibia and South Africa, and here is my moving tribute to Bottle Stores of Ovamboland.

Here are some pictures from when Chris and Kapala visited us in Côte d'Ivoire in November 2001.

And here are some pictures from the trip that Justina and I took to Ghana in February 2001.

Also, here are some pictures of Côte d'Ivoire, and, and here are various pictures from our lives in the year 2000.

and in the previous millenium...

In 1999 we got married. Here are pictures of:
the ceremony,
the procession from the church, and
the reception.

Various pictures from 1999
Pictures of our trip to the Spitzkoppe, December 31st, 1999 - January 1, 2000.

Here's a poem about Camp Glenkirk that Chris Hoge and I wrote about ten years ago.

I didn't come here to look at pictures, I came for a recommendation of catchy, intelligent country music!

Well then you should check out Jeff Middleton's excellent first album, I Might Be Wrong, which you can listen to and buy here. Just a few more sales and Jeff will be buying a van for a certain group of misfit minstrels...
