Pure romance

Shellfish in sauce

Mussels are remarkable tasteful- they make me think of female genitalia-and are easy to prepare. In South-America, they are called the oysters of the poor. I like to eat fish, specially all sorts of ‘small fish’.
This recipe makes  a good start of a romantic evening. I like to make a cosy table for two, with candlelight and a good glass of white wine, when I serve mussels. You make the atmosphere complete with a romantic music on the background.

With this recipe and your company, I wish you an intimate evening

Ingredients:

     1 kilo mussels in shells

     ½ cup of white wine

     ½ cup  of water

     I slice of lemon

     Oregano

     3 tablespoons of mayonnaise

     1 tablespoon of chives

     2 tablespoons of parsley,
     celery and coriander

Preparation

Wash and brush the mussels very good in cold water (so they won’t open) and cook them for 10 minutes in water, wine and a slice of lemon. Drain the mussels, and put them on the table. There are special pans for mussels. They look very nice if you put them on the table. Of course it’s the most romantic to eat together out of one pan. You eat mussels with your hands, just be careful you don’t burn them. If you do anyway, your love can heal your pain with sweet kisses.

Bon appetite!
