Krishnamurthy Sing us a song, you're the piano man Sing us a song tonight Well, we're all in the mood for a melody And you've got the feelin' all right. - Piano Man Billy Joel
If Billy asked ’Son, can you play me a memory’, he can rest assured that Kishmu will play it to the C. Would calling him a ‘key’boardist of Thillana be a bad pun?
Kishmu brought with him to Thillana his music expertise that came with years of playing. He started out with close friends in the BHU band and went on to play with ResonanZ. In Thillana, as a keyboardist, he orchestrates the melody of the entire song. As a Thillanite mentioned ‘pulling a Kishmu’ would probably mean going all those great lengths to reproduce a song in its entirety. His interest include Classical, Fusion and Jazz and off late is getting addicted to Herbie Hancock, Chic Corea, Joe Sample (to name a few).
Kishmu is also a contributing musician to the GeetNet project – a world-wide effort by a group of musicians of South Asian origin to promote the rich diversity of South Asian music, and to promote the use of MIDI as a viable low-bandwidth alternative for the distribution of music on the Web.
