| Thief2 began as a cover band, playing some coffeehouses in the NY/NJ area. Blessed with a wide array of talent and song writing ability, they took a step back from the coffeehouse circuit and began creating their own blend of original music. A mixture of blues & jazz with a distinct rock foundation is at the core of Thief2's music persona. Influenced by such great artists as U2, DC Talk, Jennifer Knapp, Dave Matthews, and Peter Gabriel, just to name a few, the band has come up with a uniquely different yet classic sound. Thief2's desire is to inspire people, to help them raise their minds and spirits above the daily and mundane dredges of life and provide a fresh perspective on humanity.
