NOTE: The "campground" links are not working. Please check back later.

So "Howdy," and welcome to Texas and to our website. Well, maybe you're not really "in" Texas (sorry about that ) but in case you want to find out most anything about our state you can click on the "Texas" link over to the left and you'll probably learn whatever you want to know...and more! And there's some links about Texas State Parks and National Parks for you campers along with other links about camping and a whole bunch of other stuff which may or may not be of interest to you. And in case a link is outdated and I haven't got around to deleting or changing it just yet, well, don't go there. And in case you're wondering, what with the "cowboy" icons, etc., we're not really cowboys...Dallas Cowboy fans, of course...but not "cow punchers" or ranchers or whatever. We're what they refer to in Texas as folks who've got the hat but no cattle. Well, that's true, although we have picked up a little "bull s---" along the way so I don't know what category that puts us in. Actually, we're retired folks and moving kinda slow most of the time simply cause we ain't in much of a hurry to get nowhere and also cause we want to be sure and not step in anything along the way.

So much for that. What this site is really intended to be about is camping in general and "trailer camping" in particular, which refers to folks like us who camp in "popup trailers" or "hybrids" or any one of the many types of camper trailers you see on the road. So if you're interested in trailer camping or just wondering what we've been up to, read on.

Enough for now! It's lunch time, and then nap time, so I'll work some more on this whenever.

Hope you enjoy your visit, and "Y'all come back again real soon, y'hear."

We started camping in a 17' Casita Liberty Deluxe. The name "Casita" means "little house," and friends, it is aptly named because even the largest model is too small to cuss the cat in without getting hair in your mouth.

To read about and see photos of the Casita and some of the trips we made in it Click on the "Go" icon below...

Next came the Coleman Utah, a "popup" camper, and a whole new experience in camping. In fact, like the Casita, popup camping is in a category of it's own and has enthusiasts who are dedicated to their popups as Casita owners are to their "little houses".

Click on the "Go" icon below to read about our Coleman experience and see photos of our trips, comments, and mods.

And then there was the Rockwood Roo, a "hybrid," one of the more recent innovations in camping trailers which is a combination of a travel trailer and a popup with the best features of both. The hybrid made our camping trips more enjoyable, but not without some major and some minor problems along the way.

Click on the "Go" icon below to read about the Rockwood and see photos of it, our trips, and our problems.

We're really enjoying the Mobile Scout fifth wheel, so much so that I haven't taken the time to post photos of camping trips or other info about the trailer. I'm working on it, though, so check back later and maybe I will have gotten around to it.

Finally managed to get some photos and trip comments posted. Click on the "Go" button below for the latest. More comments to come...

Other miscellaneous and sundry stuff, interesting links, etc, will be added as time permits. Check back every now and then. Shoot, there's no telling what you're likely to find!
