SOME QUOTES FROM TURNER'S SHORTWAVE SHOW

Turner hosts a shortwave radio program where one can find some of his most damming and vitrolic comments:

March 19, 1999 TURNER ENCOURAGES RACIAL PROFILING AND POLICE BRUTALITY:
TURNER: "Nowadays a cop pulls over a car and everybody makes a stink about it and the rest of us have to live in barricaded houses. No thank you. If the FBI Uniform Crime Statistics point to certain groups committing the majority of crime - as they do - then I say: Use the racial profiling and if someone gets out of line, crack 'em!"

May 7, 1999 TURNER WOULDN'T MIND IF CHINA BOMBS LOS ANGELES BECAUSE OF THE MINORITIES LIVING THERE ( CARL LIMBACHER OF CHRIS RUDDY'S NEWSMAX.COM CONCURS):
CARL LIMBACHER: "A smoking crater is more like it 'cause that's what L.A. is gonna be if we dare buck the Chinese when they start their long march into Taiwan. That's where we are with smoking guns and the Clinton administration. And I'm afraid that we're gonna have to pay for the ignorance, the obstinancy, and the downright criminal negligence of the American media in American blood in the future."
TURNER: "But you know Carl, I mean, not to sound flippant, but you know, do we really care if we lose L.A? I mean, you know, hasn't that basically become a third world cesspool?"
LIMBACHER: "They've got a lot of big Democratic contributors."
TURNER: "Right, a lot of illegal aliens."
LIMBACHER: "You know, Hal, you might have a point if I thought it was gonna stop there."

June 25, 1999 TURNER VOWS TO SUPPORT SECESSIONIST PARTY:
TURNER: "Six score and eighteen years ago their forefathers brought forth upon this continent a new nation, conceived in secession and dedicated to the proposition that states are sovereign and not beholden to a central government. I refer you, ladies and gentlemen, to the Confederate States of America. Well, their philosophical heirs are going to make another go of it. That's right. Organizers of the Southern Party have registered with the Federal Election Commission and with the Secretaries of State in Florida, Georgia, Texas, and Virginia. By August the Party hopes to be established in all eleven states of the Old Confederacy as well as Kentucky, Maryland, Missouri, Oklahoma, and West Virginia. The short-term goal is to get candidates elected to state and local offices. The long-term objective, which troubles independent political observers, is to send enough party members to Congress to push for a separate Southern nation. And I would say to all the people in the states that comprise the Old Confederacy: Save a spot for me! Because, baby, I will fight on your side to destabilize these evil Yankees. And I wanna live in the New South. The South will rise again and I'll be right there to live with ya."

August 28, 2000 TURNER CALLS NELSON MANDELA "A SAVAGE":
TURNER: "South Africa was a civilized society that was governed by white people who did what they knew was necessary to keep their indiginous population from killing themselves and from destroying the country. And because the left wing in this country thought that that was a terrible thing, they systematically went about depriving the South African government of its ability to do business in the world; and as a result the South African government stopped its system of apartheid and allowed 'one man one vote.' What they didn't count on was that the one man that they were giving the vote to was a savage who had no idea how to exist in a civilized society."
NOTE: Turner went on to decry how "the savages" are ruining South Africa, a clear reference to blacks. Interestingly, that same day, this story appeared from South Africa, clearly showing that savagery is exhibited irrespective to racial background.

MORE ON HAL TURNER

Shortly before Turner left another shortwave show in 1999, he was running a Web site for the show where he posted maps and photos of MacDill Air Force Base in Florida because the Waco raid was launched from there. At the Web site, he instructed viewers to "familiarize" themselves with the maps and photos in case future action becomes necessary, according to Turner. Those Web pages stayed up for a few weeks.

Then shortly after the April 22, 2000 rescue of Elian Gonzalez, Turner solicited viewers to his campaign Web site to send him the home addresses of the INS rescuers so that he could post them at the site. That solicitation page was taken down about a day later (after a call was made to INS), and the addresses were not posted there.

In August 1998 Turner called into Hannity's show and said that if it weren't for the white man, that blacks "would still be swinging from the trees in Africa." This comment drew no rebuke from Hannity, but rather Hannity continued to race-bait with Turner around a number of political issues.

The DEJA.COM archive is undergoing renovations at this time. When it is back up, this page will re-link to Turner's Usenet postings where he:

1) threatens to incite people to "dispense revenge" on Federal Judge Maryanne Trump Barry and New Jersey NAACP officials and their attorneys

2) threatens to go "temporarily insane" against the Senior Analyst of Fairness & Accuracy In Reporting if that journalist continues to nail Turner's racism and homophobia

3) receives calls at home from Sean Hannity

4) posts messages in a white nationalist newsgroup

SOME INTERNET LINKS ABOUT HAL TURNER

Turner's White Nationalist rally in Trenton, N.J. On November 5, 1994 Hal Turner marched in Trenton, N.J. with the white supremacist militia Nationalist Movement to protest N.J. Governor Christine Todd Whitman and to support his boy Bob Grant. After the Nationalist Movement marched in Morristown, NJ on July 4, 2000, and gave it a bit of noteriety, Turner began to deny that he had any real associations with the group. The above link, however comes from the Nationalist Movement website.
