SCARRIOTT - ADKINS
Seeking information on the family and origins of Nathan SCARRIOTT b. 1753
or 1757 in CT, d. 11 Oct 1828 in Lyman, Grafton Co. NH, m.a. 1780 in CT
to Abigail ADKINS or ATKINS, who was b. 20 Oct 1759 and d. 19 Jul 1842.
Nathan and Abigail had at least seven children between 1781 and 1801:
Lucy, Isaac, Nathan Jr., Lillian, Josiah, Jeremiah, and Lovina.
This family was enumerated in the 1790 Census of Southington, Hartford
Co. CT, along with two other SCARRIOTT households (James and Jonathan)
and three ADKINS households (Chancey, Luther, and Samuel). Nathan is not
found in the 1800 Census, but his kinsmen have removed to Wallingford in
New Haven Co. The ADKINS family appears to have connections in
Middletown, Middlesex Co.
Nathan SCARRITT is found again in the 1810 Census of Lyman, Grafton Co.
NH. At some time between 1816 and 1821, at least three of his children
remove to Madison Co. IL.
I will be grateful for any information or leads to published sources on
the SCARRIOTT and ADKINS families of Hartford, New Haven, and Middlesex
counties CT.

the stockman family originated from the rockport,massachusetts area. they
settled in morris,connecticut. both artemas & gardiner stockman were
in the civil war.
the stockman family eventually settled in new haven,conn. vicinity. The
doyle's, burdy's, westerman's, and behler all finally settled in the new
haven area.

Am looking for information on the family of Daniel O. PAGE, born in
Litchfield Co. abt. 1838. He married Sarah CUMMINGS abt 1855 and had
children Joseph, Arthur, and Walter. Daniel was in the 2nd CT Heavy
Artillery in the Civil War. Was wounded and captured at Cold Harbor
and taken to Andersonville Prison, where he managed to survive, though
weighing only 85 lbs. After recovering, he moved to Grand Traverse Co.,
Michigan with second wife Maria Briggs Johnson, widow of Jason Johnson.
Daniel died in Michigan in 1893.

County, NY. I know of one Martin See of Granville whose census record

late 30's. Also Timothy Soule married an Elizabeth Allen whose father

Massachusetts or New York. Family moved to Grant county, Wisconsin

Haven, CT, b. 21 Jul. 1764, dau. of John,Jr.(4) [John(30, Ebenezer(2),
John(1)]. She prob. had a son, William, Jr., by William Seymour of
Greenwich and later of Newburgh, NY. Son, William Seymour, Jr. was born
in Greenwich, 8 Dec. 1785, removed to Newburgh and later (ca.1803)
removed to Delaware Co., NY accompanied, I believe, by RHODA CHIDSEY.
She died 26 Mar. 1820, but I know not where. Her CHIDSEY family was a
prominent East Haven family, arriving from England in the 1600s.

8, 1931. She was my grandmother's mother and my grandmother's birth
certificate indicates Flora E. Farvor was born in Washington, CT. She
married Darius Crosby Baxer on December 15, 1865. She's buried at
Mapleshade Cemetery in Ridgefield, CT. The town clerk's office in
Washington has no record of her. Any information would be very much
appreciated.

I'm looking for information about the parents or birthplace of Selah
Bronson (or Brownson or Brunson) b. Mar 16, 1790. All of the info I

I have reason to believe that Selah may have been born in
Harwington, CT. Can anyone verify this? Vital records in Harwington
doesn't have any record of Selah's birth but did find Land records,
Warrenty deeds, 3 for Selah Brunson 1794,95,97 Vol 5 page 120, 278,
345. 1801 Vol 6 Page 132 Selah Brownson. This could have been his
father.

New Amsterdam and married abt 1685 and lived at Greenwich, Ct. Had a son
John b. ca. 1887 and lived at Danbury, Ct. d. 1745. Had several children
in Danbury and most lived at New Milford. My ancestor, the oldest of
these children, John Vidito b.1714 at Danbury and d. 1799 at Winchester,
Ct. His son John Vidito livid in Winchester Ct. and with his family in
1808 moved to Austinburg Ohio. Would like to correspond with anyone with

Barnum, Hinman, Stevens, Reynolds.circa early 1700. They probably lived
in Fairfield Co. or nearby. I suspect a Hinman married a Barnum. I know
that then a Rachel Barnum married David Stevens,(they were probably
from Fairfield, or New Fairfield) they had a child named Zeruah Stevens
who married Simeon Reynolds,(b.1761 New Milford CT) The last couple lived
