Accounts Executive
Isiah D. Drake

I am planning to obtain my Associate degree in Science. Maybe, I want to stay an extra year, become a Phi Theta Kappa chapter president and acquire an extra degree. After my two-year college experience, I would pursue a degree at one these institutions: the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana, the University of Toronto or the University of Chicago. I would like to double major in Mathematics and French Literature. While attending college, I would contemplate working for several different companies that would allow me to utilize my French speaking skills or mathematical talent. I hope that I can intern at the French consulate. I am seeking to achieve a broad spectrum of working experiences because the working person in the new millennium needs to be multi-tasking, multi-dimensional and multi-knowledgeable. After my educational experience, I would become a faculty member at a college or university and teach either French or mathematics. By that time, I want to have a family where the bond is close-knit, where everyone contributes to the strength of the family and where family issues are never swept under the rug. An open, honest family is what I want, need and deserve. The question for me is not “How will Phi Theta Kappa figure into my life in twenty years?” In my case, it should be “How won't Phi Theta Kappa figure into your life in twenty years?” Getting the experience of being in Phi Theta Kappa will carry throughout my life. The professionalism that I have gained would serve as a guide for my future business relations. Networking, inside the school, regionally and internationally, has given me a future that is bursting with potential success. Do not let me forget the friends that I have made. Friendships, the memoirs I have made, and the memories that I keep sacred will be the shining and guiding light upon my college career and lead me to a brighter future. I know that many students take and take from their society but never return to give back. I will return to become an active member or advisor in our society to improve the lives of our future Phi Theta Kappans because I know how Phi Theta Kappa has influenced my life and will affect theirs.
