Cats can be found anywhere. In movies, alleys, homes, garbage cans. Dogs are companions, but cats are forever. Why would a cat have nine lives if it weren't meant to be in the world. I believe when a cat dies it's spirit passes on to a kitten being born.
I have had nine cats in my entire life. I have three cats for the time being, possibly more when I move out.
