12:00 pm: Right now, I am outside playing with my 6 brothers and sisters while my mommy is keeping vigil. I love our new home, my "foster mom" Christina came and got me and my family from the pound in Lake county in Florida. My mom, Princess, gave birth to 8 of us.(My name is Prince) Within 10 hours of our birth, they were ready to put us "asleep". Christina adopted us all and brought us to her home. There she has 6 cats, and 3 other dogs also. Her and her husband are something they call a "rescue", I don't know what that is. Only that this place is great.
4:00 pm: Yuck, Christine gave me a bath. As she was drying me off, some woman came in and started fawning all over me. I just wasn't in the mood!! I am wet, and freezing, not to mention all that fighting tuckered me out. The woman picks me up and I fall asleep. She was pretty comfy.
5:00 pm: WOW, I guess I feel asleep...The woman is still holding me. She is very nice. I am amazed because Me, my brother Dalia, and my sister snowy are able to play in the house. This is awesome!! There is a little boy that is cuddling with my brother, so I chase my sister. I happened to hear the door open and then Boom, There was this BIGGEST dog I have ever seen there. She was with the man who came with the woman. My sister and brother ran away, but I like her. She smells good and is very nice. She seems to like me too.
6:30 pm: Right now, I am in the car with the woman, Kristi is her name, The man, Steve is his name, Their little boy, his name is Alexander, and The big Dog, who I just learned is Sadie. My foster mom, Christine, sent me with them. I guess, this is going to be my new family. I still can't help but miss my mommy. My new family got me a new coller and leash set. They also gave me a new name, "Cadence." I am pretty nervous so I am going to take a nap.
9:00 pm: I am now at my new home. It seems really nice. I am still very scared. Are these people going to be nice to me? My new mom gave me her stuffed wolf, sadly I thought it was my momma, Princess at first. It does seem to comfort me a little. We are now off to bed. My new sister, Sadie sleeps with my brother Alex, in his room. Dad and Mom bring me in with them. It is a rough night and I am having trouble sleeping.....I miss everyone so much!
There are alot of smells for me to learn. I am still not myself, but thankfully noone is rushing things. They seem to be very gentle around me. My sister Sadie, just keeps looking at me. Mom was home all day long, and kept telling me that it would be Ok. I couldn't help hoping she is right.
Another rough night, Will I ever get used to being away from them? I can't help but wonder if they miss me or wonder where I am.
I am finally starting to get used to it. My new family is very nice. I was actually playing with my sister, Sadie today. She is alot of fun!! I also learned that I have another brother named lancelot and a sister Tiki. They are what mom called, "birds". They must have been bad cause they are locked behind bars!! A much better night, I still miss them very much, but I had no bad dreams.
