Harrison Township

38° 20' N / 101° 42' W

Harrison Township was found in 1945 in Greenly Co, KS. Only 3,263 grams were found resulting in an extremly limited amount finding its way out into the world outside of museums and laboratories. 1,137.7 grams including the main mass are in the Monning Collection at the Texas Christian University and another 175.3 grams is in the Field museum in Chicago. I was fortunate to aquire two small part slices from the Michael Cottingham Collection; one (left) weighing 2.62 grams and the other weighing 2.61 grams (above).

Harrison Township is an L6 ordinary chondrite
