Welcome to the webpage for the band R.O.A.D. (Righteous Only After Death). Hi, this is Alex Lisic here! For those of you who don't know, I started this band with a friend of mine named Phil Potter. Phil plays guitar, and I do the vocals. We started playing together when we were at TN Governors School For the Arts 2001.  Tiffany Wharton, a friend of mine, and I started a Bible study there called "The Heart of Worship."  We had devotions, prayers, and Phil and I played praise songs. After the first "service" which we held outside the Cyber Cafe there, we were asked to extend our meetings to Sunday and Wednesday nights. That meant Phil and I needed more music. At the time we were only capable of playing four songs together.  We worked very hard and learned song after song until we had a whole list of music we could play. We entered the Monday night "Open Mic Night" to display and test our music under the name "Road Duo." Eventually we met Adam Murphree (Freelance Records) who had a small recording studio in his dorm room. He obliged to letting us come in for a while and record a few songs for a cd. Once it got time to record I became very sick. We had to stop recordings and songs because I would cough in the middle of a song (hence the cough in It Is Well). It was very hard to deal with that. But Phil and I made the cd very quickly, mainly doing one take per song. This is NOT suppossed to sound professional or anything close to that. It was made so that we could spread God's love, remember our experience, and have something to take back to our friends for them to enjoy and maybe even minister to them through this. Phil is now back at his home in Johnson County and I am here in Cookeville. We are about four hours away from each other, but we plan on getting together and recording soon, since I have relatives close to him. Anyways, enjoy our music...we really enjoyed making it and spreading the Word of God in such an unlikely place.    ~Alex
