This is Progeny's official website. We are a four piece Christian hard-core band. Our purpose is to serve God in all that we do, and that our working with him might bring glory to him. You might be wondering what our name means. Progeny, as the dictionary states, means children or descendants; Offspring. This was fitting because Romans 8:16-17 says, "The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children. Now if we are children, then we are heirs--heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory." Also, 1 John 3:1-3 says, "How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him. Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when he appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. Everyone who has this hope in him purifies himself, just as he is pure. So we, Jacob Edwards (lead vocals), Josh Cooner (guitar), and Justin Pinker (bass) are PROGENY; God's children and co-heirs in Christ.
