"Why Me?"
"Why me?" a child whispers somewhere.
Noone hears it, noone seems to care.
A child, lies at the edge of death's blanket;
asks, "Why me?" And still yet,
No one hears it, no one seems to care.
Somewhere, someone knows the answer;
who'll hear it, does anyone even care?
A child whispers and prays to God, "Why me!"
"Why must I pay this price? For all that
I've done was live this life. Why me?"
The child drifts away to be forgotten. All
that is heard is *its* question, "Why me?"
