Brazil was not on our planned route from Capetown to the Caribbean, but several days after leaving Ascension (and just getting over our steering dilemma) the engine quit! This impaired our ability to generate enough electricity for navigation lights, refrigeration and our radio. Brazil seemed a likely place to stop and get it repaired. Let's just say we were not welcomed with open arms......
