12.15.03 Well, Holly's back this week with her love of all things Orlando Bloom (as you can see above). I go into far too much depth about bad teen movies and my crushie-crush on Chad Michael Murray. Katrina waxes nostalgic about friendship bracelets and talks about the party that could have been. And of course, there's a lot more inside, check it out. Have a great week! 12.08.03 Okay, yes, we're still alive. Mucho apologies for there not being an issue last week: I was having my own issues. The main one being that I was thisclose to death. Well, not really, but the last thing I wanted to do while incredibly sick with the worst sinus infection I've ever had is sit and write at the computer. No, thanks. Anyway, we're back this week, better than ever. I do have an announcement: because of previous obligations, Holly will no longer be a regular contributor to The Not. This week, it's all Katrina and me, booyah. Which is also why it took forever to get up. Well, that and the fact my boss is making me do actual work again. So yes, we're still alive and kicking, and we hope you enjoy this issue! 11.24.03 So, it's almost Thanksgiving, believe it or not. Luke Wilson is our Crush du Jour (and my boyfriend, called it!!), as you can see. Also this week in The Not, Katrina gives you some ideas of what to do Friday (not shopping!), Callie wrote an article about what men are thinking when we're naked (a must read!), Holly introduces us to the band Wilco, and I yammer on about teen drama "One Tree Hill." Good times, good times. I hope everybody has a good holiday; enjoy the time off! 11.17.03 Again, we're a day late. If you want to blame somebody, blame my boss, because I actually had real work to do last week and yesterday. I have no idea what's up with that. In any event, our Crush du Jour is the one and only Jason Lee (as Brodie Bruce, you can see above). Also, this week, I went on far too long about the guilty pleasure of MTV's "The Real World," Katrina talks about how much boys suck, and we find out that Holly watches "Dr Phil"... and likes it. Who knew? Have a great week! 11.10.03 Yes, that is John Cusack up there. How cute is he? So cute, that's how cute. Anyway, we're back again this week with a special two-parter Old Skool article, on Garbage Pail Kids and Cabbage Patch Kids. Callie's also back this week with our recommended website, and a very funny article on "finding Mr Right." Thanks, girl - it's great, as always. Again, I have to thank everybody for the feedback - you guys rock! Have fun reading! 11.03.03 I know, I know... we were a bit late this week. I'll take full responsibility ("I" being Taylor, so you know who to yell at) for it - our internet was down at work all day Monday, and then it was nothing but clean clean clean that night over at my house, so putting this thing up yesterday was out of the question. But here we are, a day late, but as good as ever, if I do say so myself. With Stephen Dorff as coverboy, how could we go wrong? Again, keep up with the feedback, we love it! And you guys want to make us happy, right? Right. Happy reading! 10.27.03 Third week and going strong! As far as I know, this little ole' website of ours has been very well received. Thank you all for your comments and suggestions, please keep them coming! Well, this week's "Crush du Jour" is Hottie McHotterson Hugh Jackman. Also, Callie has submitted another article, this time about Fantasy Tanning - thanks, girl! We have all of our usual weekly stuff up as well, so check everything out! Much love to everyone! 10.20.03 Here we are, second week out! Great job, ladies, on the first edition - we've gotten nothing but positive feedback. One thing about this project is that it is so enjoyable to work on because I actually like talking about the things I get to write about, which makes it fun, for all of us, I think. This week's "Crush du Jour: is Michael Vartan, as you can see above. Also, we have an adventure from Katrina's former roommate Callie for you all to read - great story, by the way! Everything else is updated as well, so please check it out! Thanks for reading! Let me ask you this one simple question: Men have magazines like FHM, Maxim, and Stuff, chock full of half-naked, airbrushed-to-the-max women. What do we have? We have the aforementioned Cosmo, Glamour, Vogue... all completely chock full of half-naked, airbrushed-to-the-max women. Do you see a problem here? We do. Welcome to The Not. We're here to tell you that it's okay to be single. We're here to bring you hot boys! We're here to recommend products that you can actually afford! ($120 for a skirt, my ass) We're here to tell you that we are not hypocrites. We won't tell you that you should love your body no matter what, and then stick a picture of a half-naked Letitia Casta next to it. That is what you will not find here. Personally, we think it's about damn time. To the right, you'll find a navigation menu that is pretty self-explanatory. We'll have different stories every issue (the new edition will be put up every Monday afternoon). We'll have a different "Crush Du Jour" each issue - this week's being Johnny Depp, as you can see above. We'll also recommend a book, a movie, a musician, a website, and a TV show for you to check out with each issue. There will be a different Top 5 each week, as well as articles that we write that pertain to things that we think are important, that we want you to know about. We'll share with you our guilty pleasures, our favorite cool chicks, our favorite adult beverages, some easy recipies, and inexpensive cosmetics that we love. The "Who's that Boy?" page will showcase a relatively unknown, quasi-famous guy celeb that we love and want to share with you. "Adventures" will be us telling you about things that we have done during the week, or over the weekend. The section called "Old Skool" will be devoted to waxing nostalgic over our favorite things from our yesteryears. Basically, we're here because we never could find an outlet for the things that *we* wanted to read about, talk about, hear about. Something directed to 20-something women that was real. Something that we could relate to, as a whole. We hope you find this project fun, entertaining, and informative. If you have any suggestions, comments, feedback, submissions, ideas... we'd love to hear about it. The link to our guestbook and our email is to the right on this page. We hope you enjoy yourselves!
