Final Fantasy X-2

Final Fantasy X-2 is the first ever Final Fantasy Sequel. The fans had asked for it and they got it. Squaresoft or now squarenix, decided to throw out the Final Fantasy bible and break the rules by making the first sequel.

Story

The story is about Yuna from FFX finding a sphere of someone who looks a lot like her lost love, Tidus. "it all started when I saw this sphere of you..." Rikku gets her to try to find more clues to see if her beloeved is truly still alive. They then join the Gullwings. A group of Sphere hunters, where Yuna starts her journy to find more spheres hoping to find an answer.

Characters

Yuna: The 19 year old ex-summoner who defeated Sin two years before. She's part of the gullwings. She plans to do things on her own but can't help wanting to help others. Her uncle is Cid and she's half Al Bhed.

Rikku: The 17 year old sphere hunter. After Sin was defeated, she traveled around Spira teaching other how to use machina. Now she joins Yuna in her quest.

Paine: The 18 year old sphere hunter. She never talks much nor talk any about her past. She joined the gullwings to forget her past and look forward to the future.

Battle system

Guess what? No overdrives! Also no summoning either or overkills. Instead you have dresspheres. What are dresspheres? Well they are the key to changing class, and abilities. For example, Rikku's default dress sphere is Theif. If you press the L1 button and press on another sphere you could get Black Mage. Now she can use magic. Each character has their own special dressphere. To use it though, you have to change them through all the dresspheres you have on the sphere grid, then pressing another button and pressing the X button. Then your other teamates leave the battle because one special sphere counts as three people because they have three parts. Basically, it replaces the aeons. The battle system is different from FFX. Instead of take all the time you want and one character at a time, all characters can attack at once dealing more damage. It reminds me of the FF8 and so on battle mode. But this time, no waiting involved!
