Well, after a long final semester and an unforgettable trip to Europe, I have finally updated this site again. I'm going to start with the mustang, cus it's mine, hehe. I took out the thumping stereo system to shed 100lbs or so. I got a sweet price on a set of Kuhmo skins, I dropped it all four corners with Eibach springs, and added a ripper shifter. The first event I took it to was a Bitterman Time trial event at Sears Point. We were the first group that got to race on the newly remodeled track. I got 2 1/2 hours to run the road course with vettes, vipers, Ferrari's, and other performance cars. It was by far the most fun I have ever had in a car! And the my little pony hung in there. It was the cheapest care at the track by far, and I think I had the most fun. It ran a little warm (230-250) and the rims were black with brake dust when I was done, but other then that, no major problems. A few months later I ran it at sears point drags. I couldn't hook the first 60' and the best I could muster was a 15.1. Oh well. Not to bad for 150K on the motor and trans.
The trans went out on the 71 while I was in Europe. No surprise there. It wasn't running the best before I left. It felt like it had a 4800 stall in it. I could almost tach the motor out with my foot on the brake before you could feel anything.
The Camaro will not be ready for Hot August Nights in Reno this year. I'm kinda glad because Tom didn't need to be working on a schedule to build a car. I've updated the entire section with pictures and a new layout. I've added a few new pictures into the old ones as well.

I'm back for the weekend to work on the mustang. It passed smog last week so I have to put the X pile back on. I'm taking out the speaker box and letting a friend borrow it. That should help free up some space and dump about a 100 Lbs. I'm also going to fix the heater core and a few other small things. I hope to get the springs tomorrow so I can lower it this weekend too. New tires will be in the works in the next week or two. Probably Kuhmo's from tirerack.com. There only about 80 bucks each. The 71 is back up and running. The motor is running better. The torque converter is probably too loose so it might get changed in the near future. Tom's project is starting to look more like a car again. I think he plans on changing the name from HalFast to something else too. That will be the only car that will really be updated for a while. I don't plan on doing any car work for the next few months with college graduation around the corner. On another note I will be going to Russel racing school later this month. My parents just got back from Bondurant race driving school in AZ. They both loved it. Mom had the fastest time in the mustangs, but dad says she hit a few cones. The controversy continues.  On another note, its good to here that Greg walked away from crashing DJ's camaro last weekend at Sacramento raceway. You can see pics of the twisted metal on DJ's site. www.oocities.org/isrnracing . Look for Dave Bowman's post on the message board.

Update! I have sold the 64 to a guy in North Sacramento. Last week I purchased a 90 GT mustang from a young guy in Concord Ca. I have updated with project halfast pics of final assembly.  I am also adding a section for the one and only Ford in the family. I'll add more info on the message board about what's been going on when I have more time.

12-19-01

I have added a Virtual Car show section. If you would like your car up, just email me a jpeg file of it. Still waiting on more pictures of the painted Camaro...

I have updated the site again. The HalfFast project is starting to look more and more like a pro-touring car. I would Like to get some pictures of Jimmy's projects and put them up as well. He is my Uncle's brother in law who built and owns a 454 69 Camaro, and is building a 66 mustang GT350 fast back with a aftermarket front clip, crate motor, and C4 trans. Sonny Leonard, his neighbor is doing the work for him. Just to let everyone know, I plan on putting up some pictures of Casey and Alan's 93 Mazda RX7. I am not an import fan, but I do give my friends their respect, especially when they are building a custom rotary motor with 22 lbs of boost, 450 streetable horsepower, and only 2800lbs. they are both employed by Opak Racing in Rohnert Park and Casey was one of my old roomates.

Notice anything new? Time to rewrite the entire site. I finally updated and will be keeping on top of things from now on. I hope :) As for the projects, The Camaro is getting close. Most of the body parts are being painted today. The 64 is still collecting dust. I only drive it about once a week now. The Astro van and the 64 are for sale. I will most likely purchase a 5.0 Mustang GT as a daily driver once I sell the Van. We have no projects in the works after the 64 is sold. I am thinking about buying a shifter kart and racing in the Northern California Kart Association for a year or so. The lure of 100mph+ in a Kart is growing on me. Over the next month or two I will be painting my roomates 66 mustang. I might put up some pictures of that as it develops.

Notice anything new? I didn't really like the old look and thought this might be better. What do you think? Let me know on the message board. Car updates, the Camaro is going to the paint shop on Wednesday, and I am re-building the dash on the sixty four. It split. Added a few more pictures to the site also. I am going to start an archive of my updates after the this one so it will not be so crowded on the homepage and people can see what happened when.

5-15-01

I have updated some parts of the site. The 70 Camaro section has some picture up as well as descriptions. A few more links as well. I'll keep updating each section as I get more stuff to put up.

5-14-01

Well, after a weekend with the Yahoo server extension down I have finally been able to update my page. I have put up some pictures from Sac raceway on Friday. I will be putting more up when I get them. They are under the Eye Candy section. There has been some format changes as well as updates to other areas of the site. It should be a few weeks before I will have everything done due to school finals next week.

5-11-01

Went to Test and Tune Friday night at Sacramento Raceway. We shaved a full second off the ET on the 64. We started with 14.4 and 2.25 60 Ft. times. After the second and final Nitrous run I ran my best time ever of 13.4 with an ugly 2.38 60 Ft. It bogged off the line and I had to get out of it. I think the little mystery motor might have a high 12 in it with some luck and a good tune. We also fried another alternator. There was a great selection of cars on hand. I have some picture that I will be posting as soon as I get the photo's developed.

5-10-01

IT'S UP! Finally I got the server to accept my web page. I'm still building the site and I plan on putting it up for the first time today :). I will be getting some better pictures of the 64 and changing some of the format on the site in the next few weeks.

We had planned to attend Sacramento Raceways test and tune with the 64 Friday night from 5-10pm but we missed our window for going up there. I had about two hours to get the new axles in and work out some bugs before we left. Well, not enough time and Jimmy's Camaro was down. We were going to meet them up there. Plan is to head that way this Friday the 11th.
