Biography

A proud Australian, James Derrick joined the AWA after 6 successful years in the HCWF, a smaller company that proud itself on hardcore combat that pushed the boundries of sport. After six reigns as HCWF World Heavyweight Champion (a feat no other man has come close too), the company shut down due to managerial issues. Born in Brisbane, James grew up wanting to be an Australian Football player, and made big strides into representatives team. However, his dream was quickly squshed as he parents forced him to move overseas to the United States, where Australian Football had not development the slightest. Instead, JCD discovered professional wrestling, and his natural athletic ability from Aussie Rules Footy, gave him a huge advantage in his training. It was also during his time in the States, James met Laura, his now loving wife. Throughout the stint in the HCWF, the two eventually married despite the growing jealousy and attempts to separate the two by other wrestlers. It was also during this time, James Derrick met Fenix Nigma, a fellow Australian who had also found his way to the HCWF. The two begun long and storied feud that lasted almost 2 years. At times they were a near unstoppable duo as members of The Entente, a stable comprised of James Derrick, Fenix Nigma, and a hired goon by the name of Jack Daniels. Along with several other wrestlers, the HCWF was dominated by the group. However, after Fenix Nigma defeated James Derrick in what was supposedly a World Title match built on honour, Fenix Nigma and The Entente turned on James Derrick, almost ending his career with a sickening assalt. Refreshed after months of rehabilitation, James finally entered the AWA with a fresh new look and hunger to succeed. He now considers himself an 'experienced-rookie', but the same hunger and ability he has always carried.
