My Story:

The story of how the Chamba Police attacked me without fact or reason! See the main people in this story:

On July 31, 2004, I attended the International Minjar Fair in Chamba, Himachal Pradesh, India. Where I, a citizen of the United States of America, was attacked without reason by the Chamba police department. <chamba.htm>

N. D. Sharma, who came out demanding I leave, even though I had an offical pass from the Deputy Commissioner's office. N.D. Sharma tried to grab my camera, and purposely smashed the lens into the camera, breaking it, when he could not pull the camera off me. I had it around my neck, and my arm inserted into the strap. He gave the orders to drag me away, falsely imprison me for 5 hours, with no charges made. I have a video recording made on my camera of me, yelling, "no, get off me", and telling him, "it will be an international incident". Hat shapes on the police fly around in the dark on the video, even though the lens was smashed inside the camera.

The Deputy Commissioner of Chamba, Rahul Anand himself. He personally gave me a VIP pass card to the festival. I was assured I may sit anywhere, take all the pictures I wanted. After the incident, he promised me my camera would be repaired. The officals had a photographer inspect my camera, who pronounced it dead. Later The Deputy Commissioner of Chamba, Rahul Anand promised me a replacement. After I refused the cheap plastic replacment for my expensive camera, he verbally attacked me and the USA. He said he had no control over the Chamba police, an understatement!
