D1 WEEKEND REVIEW

Newcastle United capture the D1 title for the very first time after beating local rivals Middlesbrough 2-1 at St James' Park.
Elsewhere, Kolo Toure scored a dramatic own goal as Fulham picked up a suprise 3-2 victory over Wigan Athletic at Craven Cottage. Chelsea moved into second place, Robinho on target twice as the Blues beat bottom side Watford 3-2 at Stamford Bridge. Blackburn Rovers came from two down to earn a much deserved point against West Ham United at Upton Park, Clarence Seedorf netted a late equaliser as Coventry City held Portsmouth to a 1-1 draw at the Ricoh Arena and Portuguese ace Cristiano Ronaldo was on target as Liverpool swept aside struggling Wolverhampton Wanderers 2-1 at Molineux.
D2 WEEKEND REVIEW

Cameroon star Samuel Eto'o scored twice as Manchester United defeated Everton 3-2 at Goodison Park.
Arsenal held onto the top spot for another week, Adriano slotting home a late winner as they saw off Sheffield United 2-1 at Bramall Lane. Santi Cazorla scored his first two goals for Bolton Wanderers as they stunned Tottenham with a 2-1 victory at The Reebok Stadium. Didier Drogba was on target but Reading slumped to an embarassing 3-1 defeat against Charlton Athletic at The Valley, Aston Villa produced a classy display as they edged out Preston North End 3-2 at Deepdale and Manchester City were at the double as they eased past Southampton with a 2-0 win on the South coast.
WATFORD
Phil Neville has warned rival clubs not to underestimate Watford, insisiting they're not a two-man team.
MIDDLESBROUGH
Graeme Souness is confident the club can capture former hero Jan Huntelaar on loan from Chelsea for S8.
BOLTON WANDERERS
Inter, Juventus and Roma are battling it out to sign £15m-rated Bolton Wanderers talisman Jermaine Jenas.
