It's pretty rare that we have a chance to meet our heros. Most of mine are either dead or wouldn't want to be bothered by admirers. However, I have had a chance to meet a few. Nancy is one of them.
Many years ago I met a quiet girl with a faraway look in her eyes. I knew that she was either an artist or a musician. It turns out she that paints. She was just getting started in watercolors at the time. It was the first time that I had ever seen watercolors used in this style.
The picture to the right is an example. Yes, that is watercolor!
Many a time, I have watched her work, and have always been amazed at her choices of brushes and colors.
She is one of those that I look up to and admire. |
