Report – 19 December 2003

45 minute tournament

Just five games were played on a night of low attendance – just six could drag themselves away from the Christmas shopping mania. Or perhaps it was a case of avoiding chess overdose after the thrills and spills of Wednesday night’s clash with Northside CC.

All results tonight were predictable, although George required a blunder from John in an even endgame. Peter had much more to play for and powered his way to a quick victory over John, reversing their result in the One Hour.

Andrew & Stuart inadvertently played with colours reversed, so this game may be relayed if time permits.

Group A will hinge on Debbie’s last two games with Andrew and Brian, while Group B will be decided by lots with three interested parties if Harvey beats Marty in his remaining game.
